1990 325i Auto Convertible
My 1990 Royal-Blau 325i Auto Convertible. I would argue this is one of the best colour combinations with the tan leather interior. I bought this car in January 2021 and it has been kept in a garage during the winter months then used for trips down to the west country during spring and summer. Curren...

Re: Red light boot
Ok thanks. I've had a flat battery in the past just by lack of use and this hasn't happened. It seems to have come on recently and drain the battery. How do I turn it off?

Re: Red light boot
Yep we have that lock but no key and this never used it. So thinking something may have happened to wiring to turn it on by itself?

Red light boot
Hi all,
Recently have noticed red light is on as show below. Everything else is off and car has standard locks etc. Have also had a couple of flat batteries recently and wonder if the two are connected as don't think this light has been on previously.
As always appreciate any advice.

Re: So... what mileage are you getting?
What E30 do you have? Mileage? 88' 325i SE 68000 miles Yourself? 90’ 325i auto cab 159k miles. I have pretty much the same car. Live in London and the Auto hates it but then again a manual would be v.tiring. OBC says 14-20 then on a drive down to Devon going around 70mph got a total trip MPG of aro...

Fan stopped working
Hi All, Took car out for a nice long drive to Oxford in the beautiful weather. Was so hot even with the roof down that I had the fans on coldest setting (non-AC) and full blast. On the return leg the fan/blowers completely shut off and would not work on any settings. Could this be a blown fuse in th...

Exhaust advice
Hi all, My 325i pre facelift cab came with a full scorpion exhaust piped from the manifold. The problem is is that I don't like how low it sits compared to the rear bumper (pic below). When I was having various bits done by BMR they said that the back box was too large to lift it any further and the...

Re: Possible to lift up the carpet?
Doing the NC500 early May so will let you know how it goes! Good luck! Make sure you post up some pictures. Have you got an exact route planned yet? I have had a look but other than just driving around clockwise and stopping whenever I get to something interesting, I am struggling a bit as there ar...

Re: Possible to lift up the carpet?
I am planning on driving around the NC500 later this year, however I live in the South and it is going to be quite a few hours of motorway to get up there. Looking at putting some extra sound deadening in my 316i to make the trip more pleasant. How far can you reasonably lift up the carpet without ...

Re: Radio upgrade, Apple CarPlay???
I have been looking at replacing mine which isn't original and think was installed in 2009 according to the receipt. I have found the below which is a good balance of what you are asking for without maybe the size and expense of having a folding screen. The added benefit is you can change the colour...

Re: Parts Help Please
Hi Jon,
Thanks for this and with a bit more researching this weekend, believe the part number is: 61-13-8-360-844?
Also need the bulb for the Automatic Gear Selector (PNR123) 63-21-7-167-000. Is that correct?
Also need the brushes for the Automatic selector.
Thanks,
Jamie

Switchable auto switch
Hi all,
I have the switch (no.11) and I was told by BMR Performance that the spring has gone so I think I definitely need part 12 and maybe also part 10 if anyone has them.
Thanks
Jamie

Re: Old member, back with an E30...nearly!
Welcome back to the zone mate, I would keep her standard and enjoy it for what it is but there again I bought what can only be described as the most undesirable E30 around. 316 auto Baur of which I would not change a thing as it`s cool just the way it is   Mart. So undesirable that it i...

Welcome to club. Nice motor. Like you I also took it to BMR and came back with 2 page list. Got all the work done - and unlike yours, I had to change fuel tank and a bunch of other things on top :) Are you based in London? I am indeed, in the Oval/Kennington area. The pricing list came back from BM...
