Ok thanks. I've had a flat battery in the past just by lack of use and this hasn't happened. It seems to have come on recently and drain the battery. How do I turn it off?

Yep we have that lock but no key and this never used it. So thinking something may have happened to wiring to turn it on by itself?

Recently have noticed red light is on as show below. Everything else is off and car has standard locks etc. Have also had a couple of flat batteries recently and wonder if the two are connected as don't think this light has been on previously.

As always appreciate any advice.

What E30 do you have? Mileage? 88' 325i SE 68000 miles Yourself? 90’ 325i auto cab 159k miles. I have pretty much the same car. Likely a blown fuse if the fan was sticking somewhat and drawing more amps than the fuse can handle.

It was removed when BMR did the fuel and brake lines but they said the back box was too big hence why it hangs low.

Also need the bulb for the Automatic Gear Selector (PNR123) 63-21-7-167-000. Is that correct?

Ok that would be great. I have the switch (11) but it just twists completely round and so was told needed the bits underneath as that was what is broken.
