Not 100% on the weight saving but the main saving is they wont shatter in an accident saving you the waiting time in A&E

You can have the fronts Thermoformed now, so can be used in the runners allowing you window opening as per std fitment

I would love to see how rigid that roof is if it is just single skin with no inner frame, my worry there is the amount of movement you will get in that large panel unless it is either made of lots of layers of carbon or Autoclaved ?

From Memory std bonnet alone is 21kg and the ones i used to make where 5kg ? you would struggle to get a steel skin that light ?

Give M3BOB a call as he has all the E30 panel moulds, mainly m3 but a lot will fit the std car. i have his number if you want to call him ?

we still have moulds and still make loads of parts for the e30 and e36, just not doors, great for race cars only no good on the road trust me, we can do them if someone wants to supply doors ? website will be back up soon.
