Its really handy to have a clutch when drifting, that way power can be applied more gently if required..

But it's definatly do-able in an auto, I expect some people would prefer it..

Get that bird crap off asap - will damage your paint otherwise.

That sounds like some tough stuff... You sure its not white paint?

You should also negotiate hard with the insurance company, the first figure they come back with is allways a V low offer. They have alot of flexability. If the care has rare options, its not a bad idea to say nto then - OK you find one in this condition with LSD leather Kit history etc. It seems to ...

I think this must be quite common,

My 325i, has been to the BM dealers twice in it's life (according to the history) to sort this problem,

once a corroded fuel line and second a leaky inlet manifold gasket.

Good luck tracking down

I have only owned metallic BMWs - assumed the laquer was on all.

In this case an abrasive may well do the trick. No allways nthat easy on red cars... Im speaking as an ex alfa owner!

Tcut works by taking a layer of paint off... With the layer of clear laquer "in the way" you will not be able to change the colour of the paintwork. All Tcut is good for on E30s (unless resprayed) is taking out surface scratches, same goes for any other abrasive polishs. Laquer can be a real pain on...

Only three...

first was a 1979 e21 316

second E36 316i 1996

Third E30 325i touring 89

They are losing their build quality with age... but gaining in other areas the E30 is the best comprimise.

Just wish the e30s handled like the later BM's

Getting the sensors wet when filling will not cause problems - it's all low impedance, low voltage circuits.

Its probably worth changing the bushes anyway , it allways seems to transform the handling. Grad the wheel and check it for play in all directions This is most likely you problem anyway, unless your car has had a bash at some time.

I had the same problem.

Does the one in the boot actually have a sensor?

I had this problem a few weeks ago, I cleaned all the sensors and cleaned all the contacts, works fine now. I think its because the sensors have a tendancy to get when when being filled - splashs

Just need to check every now and then.

You can use petrol, I use it to get oil out of my clothes all the time. petrol on a sponge and rub, then wash with detergent based stuff (there are probably less smelly thinners) Make sure you do it in a well ventilated area! and dont smoke :) takes a couple of days for the smell to go but it goes! ...

Ebay pot luck

Unlucky with your sale, I think ebay is pot luck sometimes for both buying and selling. I reckon it's usually worth "featuring" cars though. I have sold a few on there and the only ones that sold for decent ammounts were featured

Good luck
