The IS was available with both 14 and 15'' basketweaves. The 318i LUX (which mine is) either came with 14'' basketweaves or bottle tops, depending on what was available at the time. Both were an optional extra on an ordinary 316 or 318i

Just had a chat with somebody who has fitted many alarms to E30's, recommended by BMW Owners London. A Clifford Concept 650 has been suggested. I think if I got a tracker you can allow them to talk to each other if the alarm is activated, so it's future-proof for upgrading to tracker.

Yes true!

I've heard that sometimes a tracker can put your insurance premium up for some reason though.

Is there any truth in that? Doesn't make sense to me....

Quick update.... went to see the car yesterday and fell in love with it! Everything was better than expected.
