Re: Rear view mirror has fallen off.
I had the same issue and tried to glue it back on using the special sticky pads sold by Halfords etc. Nothing worked for more than a week or so in the heat of the summer. Solution is to take it to a windscreen repair place and they do the job properly for a few quid.

Wheel change ..any advice?
I’ve got a 1990 320 cab and I’m thinking of buying a new set of wheels. I’ve got 14 in bottle tops at the moment. Two reasons to change..... first it is difficult to get decent tyres for 14 inch wheels. Choice is limited. Second... I think the wheels just look a little too small in the wheel arch. W...

Re: Rear top mounts
I’ve just replaced my top mounts ( and shocks) with E46 bits. My old ones looked okay, but when I had a proper inspection they were completely buggerated. The job is easy. I bought a pair of Z3 reinforcement plates but they will not fit onto my cabriolet so they are yours for £12 if you want them.

Re: Tyres Time
Beware cheap tyres on eBay. They are often approaching their sell by date. I believe after 6 years tyres have deteriorated significantly and lost a lot of their rubberyness

Thanks Ben, but I had seen that page on Wiki and assumed that the torque setting quoted referred to the twin nuts which bolt the shock mounting assembly to the bodyshell?

Re: Driver side washer jet spitting
IMHO you’re barking up the wrong tree. You need to get a new one of these from your local dealer or Jon at Cotswold BMW. It’s the non-return valve and it looks like this

Re: Annoying tendency to almost stall on pulling away
Spent a bit of fun time checking the blue temp sensor. Only small annoyance was I couldn’t detach the ECU plug with the ECU in situ because there wasn’t enough spare play in the loom to angle the plug in order to free it from the clip on the right side. So had to undo the 4 bolts to free the ECU I d...

Annoying tendency to almost stall on pulling away
Can anyone give me some advice to try and cure a longstanding problem with my 1990 320 please? When pulling away from stationary I have to accelerate very carefully in order not to stall. If I just floor it, it will stall. It needs a feather lite touch , to get it off the line. Once its going, it’s ...

BMW hub cap logos?
Hi
Please can I order 4 of those adhesive decals which fit in the hub caps of the bottle top wheels? I believe they are 36131181082
My VIN is EB66741
Also, can you supply the Lemforder Mondeo drop links which the forum recommends as an upgrade?
Thanks

Doctors’ and their cars, trivial symptoms and Lemforder
Hi to everyone I’m a recently retired doctor. I’ve owned a 1990 320 Cabriolet since 1993. Pictures attached. It’s been polished to within a whisker of its life, and used mainly In the dry . I also have had motorbikes and various Landcruisers to spread the load. I’ve finally got the time to do a coup...
