Thanks for the quote. Any chance I could get a break down, I'm in the middle of taking it apart and need to figure out what bolts need to be changed and if any can be reused.

Re: Fogloght switch wiring one for Brianmooore lol

Yep should do, although if they have been cut its normally because there was a fault that someone couldn't be bothered to chase. (could be as simple as bad earth) There are quite a few switches on Ebay but probably worth sending a PM to Magpie or 1 of the breakers on here. Also worth asking Cotswold...

These are what I have found. Typically though in typical previous owners fashion, he has obviously cut the bloody plug off so either I need a switch AND plug from a breaker or use spade connectors to get this wired in
What do you have left? Just the switch?

Re: Fogloght switch wiring one for Brianmooore lol

The first 4 go into quite a large plug on the back of the fog light switch

(That's the grey purple at the front and plain grey at the back)

I think the others are the bulbs for the head light adjuster.

502 bad gateway

Is anyone else still geting this? It gets quite annoying, The only way I can use the site after logging on is to clear my history then go back to a thread then log back in, then back to bad gateway and repeat.
I'm aware its been going on for ages but is there a fix coming? Or is it just me? :hammer:

Re: Rusty rear hub/wheel bearing nut?

Have you removed the locking tab? It's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. Use a screw driver to pry it out, you will need a new one as it will deform. Link to show the part but available cheaper elsewhere: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173743217055?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid...

Use a pair of grips where I have put the blue line and gently wiggle from side to side, if it won't budge spray some oil from the cabin side wait 10 mins and try again. If it really won't move the red line is where it joins the tube to the cabin so you could try using a hacksaw blade to try and brea...

So paultv will have a current MOT until 15th of October 2020. Any MOT that expires between (currently) 30th March 2020 and 29th Marc...

I have a Sealey SuperMIG 150. You can use it with both flux cored and normal wire up to 5kg reels and can use the small (very expensive) gas bottles with the regulator supplied or you can use the proper sized bottles with a proper regulator. Personally the flux cored wire is only useful if your weld...

Re: Rusty rear hub/wheel bearing nut?

It sounds like you still have the locking plate over the nut. It can be hard to see as it is hammered over and rusts to the nut. Use a screw driver in the slots at the side of the hub and hammer it until it moves/deforms then pull out with pliers. HTH :) and a link to the wiki if you haven't seen it...

Eibach did list springs for Tourings but when I last tried to order I was told they didn't know when they would be back in stock. (4 or 5 years ago) However even before this many people have used the springs for convertibles. Links from my watch list coming up https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eibach-Pro-K...

Re: Wouldn't do the tracking?

It could be the track rods (ball joints worn) or it could be the wheel bearing. Does the wheel have play up, down and side to side?
It could also be the ball joints on the wishbones or the lollipop bushings but I think you did these recently?
Do you have much play in the steering wheel?
HTH :)
