Hi everyone, I need some help with my rough running sport. Ive got a small vid to show what its doing. Its extremely lumpy, chugging a bit, alot of vibration and running really rich. Ive just been to the car. I sprayed hair spray around all the inlet while running. Nothing changed, so assuming i have no air leak. I couldnt get to the block end of the crank breather with the spray. So Im going to remove the inlet, see if anything stands out at me. Also going to borrow a inlet wit...

You really need to adjust the AFM with an exhaust gas analizer stuffed up it's bum...your local MoT man may well help you out at a quiet moment in his day. I know but in its present condition it has to be moved on the back of the truck or when it goes for test, which is an age off with other bits o...

I have checked the plug under the inlet manifold. Looks good on connector and under the rubber covers. Havent checked the tappets yet. But have decided next port of call is the AFM settings. After reading another thread Brianmoore mentioned about the Afm being adjusted to run better with badly perfo...

M535i's rule. My 1st one was in red on a C plate with tan interior, fairly basic spec but it was a manual (has to be!) I bought it after my 323i (E30). Must say it was a different beast to learn to drift, if anything alot easier but in defence of the 323i that didnt have a slipper in it. The old E28...

Give your pipes a wiggle and a squeeze while its running. I had a tiny hole in one of my coolant pipes. It was a tiny little bit of spray and only when the engine moved. On tick over it was fine you wouldnt notice anything. The hole was near the jubilee clamp on mine. Worth a look...

Has the alarm played up at all recently? If it has one? Ive had it before where a car will turn over but the imobilliser wouldnt allow power to the pump. Have you got power to the pump? Although it runs fine for about 10 mins and dies? Mmmm. Would think likely cause is a duff pump.....

Doesnt sound like its worth fixing to me. Do you really want to drive a car on the road again after its had that sort of damage? Also the suspension turret is now touching the battery.

Re: M50 injectors fit a M20?
Your best course of action is to invest £60 with injectortune (see trader's section), and have your injectors rebuilt. Your mates E36 injectors may work, but they will also be well past their best. Hi Brian, getting mine fixed was my first option but when looking through the paperwork for the break...
