Re: Cabriolet rear blower
It appears I may be wrong - fuse 8 feeds the relay at the rear and energises the relay via the dash switch - however the yellow dash switch lamp gets power from fuse 23 via the main light switch - you have a light so 23 is OK. So, first supect is fuse 8. Then check pin 8 ( 86 Black ) of the rear re...

096 bosch s5 or s4. Look for higher cca (cold cranking amps). Eurocarparts occasionally do 50% discount on their ebay account has deals sometimes. If not discounted use carparts4less.co.uk Thanks. ECP have an S5 for £101 with the discount, however I've found an S5 in the link below for £80. Looks l...

Battery recommendations for 325
My current Varta Black is date stamped 09/13 and isn't enjoying the cold weather, so I'm looking at options for a good quality replacement 325 battery.
Wiki says go for an 096 rated battery. Any recommendations?

Did you make a choice in the end? I am doing exactly the same to my 1989 convertible E30 and am probably going for this Continental head unit... [https://www.tachowebshop.com/TR7412UB-OR][/url] I think the orange look will go with the 1980's vibe. Still not decided on speakers and want simple bolt ...

Re: Inkeys '87 325i cabriolet
Update on the car. Bought and installed a set of new Pioneer rear speakers, plus a more subtle and Bluetooth enabled head unit I found on eBay. Also fitted 4 x new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres as the car came with old Runway tyres - the oldest of which was 2006?! Lastly, I've made a custom magnetic ho...

Re: idea Spring drop
Hi Andy. I recently went for B4 shocks and B3 springs as I wanted a relatively oem level to my 325i cab living in London and it's forest of speed bumps, potholes etc. Was tempted with a drop of 10-20mm on each corner though - mainly for stance, although with my little bottle top wheels it probably w...

Re: Inkeys '87 325i cabriolet

Replacement in and all working fine again. I also sorted my coolant level warning light out. Replaced the sensor a few days ago b...

Re: Coolant warning light
Have you checked the plug that connects to the sensor? It's really common for corrosion or frayed or broken wires causing intermittent connections to the sensor. Put a loop of wire in the Plugs holes to short it out, turn on ignition and see if the panel light is still on, if it's not waggle the lo...

Re: How much coolant?
Thanks for the response Brian. Yes, it is an E30 and that's really good info and I'll check out the thin, vintage wiring and sensor. Level wise it doesn't seem to have dipped below the seam but I've not checked when cold. My guess is it's fine though and as you say, the culprit for the light lies in...

How much coolant?
My coolant levels are just about at the middle seam of the plastic reservoir; no higher or near to the two marks halfway up the top section. Coolant warning light came on but the engine seems the have enough and isn't overheating. Should the coolant be topped to the upper marks and what might be the...

Not sure if I want to go original OEM or modern subtle yet. Bluetooth streaming is convenient. I also took a look at the roof gaskets. Passenger said is fine, but drivers side is a bit gappy. Seems that the roof frame itself maybe sits a lit;e too high against the window line. If I press down it makes a much better seal. Front corner is an issue too but am gummi-phlege-ing like crazy and slow...
