8) looks like sweet progress you are making...is that from an e28 or an e34 and what tranny, clutch are you putting in it? Engine came from e23, tranny from e28 535, clutch... i dunno - bought it from breakers... Got the flywheel lightened (about 50% off) and ballanced, clutch - stock, but in very ...

thanks 4 the advice :) But unfortunately i'm not planning to go to UK very soon. Fortunately I got the right rad today - not in a very good condition - it has a small leak, but still better than nothing for now. Later I'll try to find a better one. Here is the pic of the engine bay - still a lot of ...

The problem is that the rad from e28 i have is a bit different from others - it's a bit thicker - the plastic side parts are different - they are thicker. And it seems to be rather hard to get the right one. So i'm thinking about any alternatives - like the rad from e36 m50 or anything else. The gap...

Hi m8s! I've finally started the swap - the engine is almost in, steering rack from e36 already installed. Now i have a problem -what radiator to use? There is only ~5 cm (a bit less than 2") gap to put the radiator in... So what radiator should I use? The one from the e28 535 doesn't fit there, it'...

1982 is on the changeover from jetronic (i think) to motronic with 635s. if it;s jetronic forget it, way too old and the inlet plenum is the wrong shape. if the 635 is auto forget it too. assuming it's motronic, these older gen engines have motronic speed/reference sensors on the gearbox bellhousin...

unless the pump is broken you can just swap the pickup and sump, and leave the pump and chain well alone m8 that's what i did. only a few 10mm bolts to remove the pickup, 2 minute job  i've had mine running with just the auto ring gear on it m8 (under 2kg) and the response was better but not ...

why didn't you use the e28 oil pump and chain and just change the pickup? are you sure you're flywheel isn't going to break? normal flywheel is fine to be honest mate. the clutch parts are pretty heavy and so the weight of the flywheel isn't as significant as you'd think What refers to the oi...
