Re: water problem
Also could be the seal around the heater matrix is knackered. Happened on mine. Rain comes in through the scuttle panel vents, then runs down through seal that holds the heater matrix/ fans on the bulk head. Could be worth checking the bulk head drain plug is clear and this can cause the water to po...

Re: Is there really a difference in the American E30 grill?
sod all I think, look at the ETK and there doesn't appear to be any visual difference, although I haven't compared part numbers.
Theres a difference in lights, you'll hear americans talking about 'euro smilies' lights.

The fastest I've ever been is 600mph, but that was cruising at 49000 feet on the way to america in a 747

Re: Rear wiper E30 sport
Never been an issue on my E30, or my E39. When did you ever see a saloon car with a rear wiper arm, they just don't need them. Travel above a certain speed and water doesn't land on the rear window due to aerodynamic flow. The same areodynamic flow will clear the window eventually. Hatchbacks and to...

Re: 318is 'M3'
There's too many odd things going on with that car. To fake a H reg 318is into a proper M3 look-a-like then he would of had to change the bumpers, front wings, rear quarters (pretty mean feat in itself), rear bumper, bootlid, and the hardest things of all, which make me wonder about this car, he'd h...

It almost looks like an M3 chassis with an is engine in, If it wasn't for the right hand drive I would of said it was!
Did they still do that style of rear lights on a H reg apart from the M3?

Car & Car Conversions magazine ran a article on converting a 318is with bike carbs last year.
Gave a very impressive results. Got the article at home somewhere, from what I read, its not hard to do and pretty cheap as well.

I think it holds a certain charm but thats just my opinion, compared to most cars in America it was a beauty!
Have to agree though, Cobra is a beauty.
I'd love to own a 60's 'stang, Shelby or Cobra jet one, lovely. Couldn't afford to run it though!

sounds about right, its just lacks the torque to keep pace with M3's due to loosing the .3L They tried to compensate by upping the compression ratio and it does match on power but that doesnt give you enough when an m3 has the same power and more torque. 325's are dispatched with no problem, more po...
