A smaller M/C and larger caliper piston area will give the driver an increased mechanical advantage (more leverage) at the expense of increased pedal travel. That i agree with. Once your master cylinder can fully actuate the calipers in its stroke its size is perfect/adequate for the job but it mig...

tylerma, can i get some more pix or info on your exhaust manifold. What did you have to do to get it to fit. It looks like the front half went in fine but the rear manifold's rear most runner needed modifying. Also what steering rack are you running? If its the E30...does it look like there is enoug...

i aint uprated my brakes with willpot but if u want better braking performance u need a smaller master cylinder and a bigger slave cylinder mate that makes no sense. In the braking system the calipers are the slave cylinders. If you have a caliper with a large fluid capacity and a small master cyli...

from what ive been reading on bimmerforums the e36 m3 manifold will bolt onto the 325/328 so im only assuming the euro versions would as well.

what are you doing for manifolds then? the odb2 manifolds modified in the same manner as ive seen posted or what?

M50 swap with E36 M3 exhaust manifold/header?

Just an odd one. On an M50 & e36 steering rack swap would the M3 header clear? I mean if it clears on the E36 i should clear in the E30 right?

Now that i think about what about any aftermarket header for the e36 325/8?

sock filters are rubbish and will rob you of power.. any filter directly over the trumpets/velocity stacks will rob you of power but it will increase engine longevity quite substantially. Even with engine oil changes every 1000-1500 miles you will get accellerated piston ring, bearing and valve sea...

i think any mixed make conversions are blasphemy but, I'm still a nissan enthusiast. the rb25det is a good engine, you will have to do alot of fabrication that you wouldnt have to do with the typical m50 swap. You would have to position the engine and gear box as one unit. The mounts will have to be...

M3 top mounts on 325is springs/struts

Will that combination work? I am just mapping out what i would like to do to the suspension. I would like to use the H&R 60/40 cup kit with the offset M3 top mounts. Couple that with the H&R sways, a full set of power flex bushes and possibly the aluminum M3 lower front control arms and the suspensi...

im looking to do a similar project but with the 2.5 from a 525. I would also like to use the odb1 but i dont see how the m20's ecu will control the ignition, also will you be retaining the AFM or converting to the MAF? Also what engine & tranny mounts are you using? good luck! cant wait to see this ...
