Re: Pics of old touring car rivals

Well spotted Greeny. Full marks. It is just off the evo triangle on the Llyn Brenig leg.

The group shot was over nearer to Bala though.

Cheers for the comments guys. :D

Re: Pics of old touring car rivals

I didn't think it was you but couldn't see through the screen well enough.

In order to get the middle shot, the camera is mounted on a combination of suckers, clamps and bars and stuff then fired remotely from inside the car.

Pics of old touring car rivals

Was out in Wales a week or so ago with some friends and shot some pics. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k276/matthew_h/Llyn%20Brenig%20March%2007/IMG_9346resized.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k276/matthew_h/Llyn%20Brenig%20March%2007/IMG_9285resized.jpg Unfortunately, the Cossie had had to...

Re: Thieving scum

Sounds like I need to check mine then and find out exactly which version it is that I need.

I know the Sport Evo ones are different too but know I don't need that one.

Guess I should change my avatar too. It should have a nice black hole where the badge used to be

Thieving scum

Some kind person has nicked my M3's grill badge breaking the grill in the process.  Very pleasant of them. Just looked up on C3 for prices of the grill and badge and there seems to be a few differing options for the grill. The standard E30 headlight grill is listed separately to the ...

Brake pad material transfer?

Anyone got any experience of this? I spent yesterday scooting round Oulton Park in my M3 and had a great day but it was slightly tarnished by brake problems. The pedal was going very long but this is just down to fluid. More disconcerting and annoying though was the amount of judder I was getting un...

Re: m3 on petrol vs 6pot m20 vs 318is?

Well, Ԛ£10 is currently about 11 litres which is roughly 2.45 gallons.

At the 20 mpg that I mentioned earlier that gives you approximately 49 miles from a tenner.

Re: m3 on petrol vs 6pot m20 vs 318is?

On a motorway run with some normal dring about at each end, my M3 (with a Milltek and a Conforti chip) will average about 31-32mpg. I have had 40+ just on the motorway but that was like I was driving Miss Daisy about. Around town on my work commute I get about 20ish mpg On track at Oulton Park yeste...

Hey up Harry,

Don't worry about the badges, Maxfield is only saying that because he got a lot of stick when he showed photos of his Dad's M3 with the rear badge in the wrong place.

Re: E30 M3 Expensive Sounding Clutch Problem

So it is a pain in the arse then? Why is it so tricky? Just a pain getting the gearbox off or something else? I only have a Haynes manual for the normal E30s atm. Will this be sufficient for me to figure out doing the M3 or do I need further info? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to work out...

Re: E30 M3 Expensive Sounding Clutch Problem

Cheers chaps for the advice. Just looked up the clutch on ECP and GSF. ECP list a Sachs/LUK clutch kit at £162 (which I assume is without VAT) and GSF list a clutch kit at £142. Will the GSF one be Sachs too? Does anyone know how difficult changing the clutch is? I have the impression that it is...

Re: E30 M3 Expensive Sounding Clutch Problem

Cheers Mat,

Do you have any recommendations for where to take it in Sheffield?

I've taken it to AutoTecnic a couple of times but I'm not 100% sure about them and they aren't the cheapest.

I was planning to change to whole clutch but it has all come about three months early

E30 M3 Expensive Sounding Clutch Problem

The clutch on my M3 has started behaving a little oddly. When engaging or disengaging the clutch there is a significant amount of judder and vibration through the pedal. It still seems to work and isn't slipping (unless I do emergency starts in the dry but it has been like that for a while) but the ...

I'd prefer it with either Nogaro or black centres with polished lips.
