Yes you're right but wondered how genuine the claims of the engine work may be and whether the car just has an exhaust and hartge badges....I should have been more specific in my original post.Sanchez wrote:its a sport

Hartge e30 on eBay
What's this all about then? A genuine hartge or a bodged up after market job?
Looks tidy in the pics, shame it doesn't have hartge wheels.

Where can you get Bosal systems from? Directly? Or outlets?suchy wrote:Full ss 6 branch & Scorpion (DTM) system and subtle isn't a word I'd use to descibe the sound. Re: Mongoose, Magnex, Jetex, Scorpion or Custom?
I have ran Jetex systems on my Golfs for years and they are excellent. I've heard similar comments as stated above on the Scorpion and Mongoose. 99% of people who I have spoken to with Powerflow systems have complained that they are boomy and too loud....so might be down to the place they had theirs...

Re: M3 Evo seats fit 325i Sport?
For any retrim work in the midlands I would use 'bespoke leather' there work that I have seen is near on flawless although they are not cheap but well worth doing it properly.

Re: M3 Evo seats fit 325i Sport?
It would be more cost effective buying these used and fitting BMW specific runners and retrimming rather than spending 5k!! This recaro seat is readily available in many cars, I nearly bought a set for my e36 but opted not to. Can't recall which recaro model they are? Possibly speed? I might be wrong.

Re: Leather re-trim
Any thoughts....... Most leather re-trims look bloody awful. Spend the money on a set of original seats in which don't need a re-trim. You obviously haven't seen decent ones then? Buying a set of original seats is a great idea but with the e30 approaching near 25 years of age there is not many dece...

Re: air ride
Air ride is 99% for show and VERY expensive! although the quality of the drive is meant to be as good as a decent set of coilovers and not alot should go wrong other than a burst bag which isn't too common - but when it goes, you will be stranded! I was thinking of installing air on one of my prev...

Thanks all for the advice. cup kit on the cab the B8's or B6's will be too stiff. there other option would be the B4 bilstein shocks aslo a cab sits low on the back, i'd only consider a slight drop on the front only Thanks kos, do you know of any springs that have a similar drop to my motorsport sus...

anothere21323i - thanks for that! i have heard exactly that of the B8/eibach set up and wanted to know how the H&R compared as there is a price difference. From my experience of the H&R coilovers they are quite harsh. The Americans love the H&R set up on their modern BMWs - probably because they...

I am pretty new to the E30-Zone but I agree that the buyer has no come back at all! I get that these cars can be a labour of love a bit like the mk2 Golfs I have owned, although they were cheap to fix, replace engines and gearbox or even updating engines were quite straight fwd. Where to get a replacement hood from? nr Watford preferable
Just wanted to know if there were any recommended places?
I did a search on google and came across car hood warehouse - in the chessington area who will do a Mohair hood for approx £550 fitted.
Let me know if anyone has any experience with them? and how much I should expect to pay.
Thanks
