Nothing to do with insecurity at all mate. If I was insecure, would I have admitted to owning a Ford Ka? Hardly! It's just when that guy just waded in and called me a twat for defending a cheapo economy car, I felt duty bound to shut him down by listing some of the serious cars I have owned. He hasn...

The 840Ci is big, heavy, not much quicker in a straight line ................. learn to deal with your insecurities or something. Aston You are of course joking..........right? A 323i was an averagely fast(ish) car 23 years ago. A Golf GTi would have been just as fast. 0-100 in a 323i takes 24 seco...

Well I just guessed. I had pink furry seat covers on my Ka. :D Allowed me to get in touch with my feminine side. But when I found she'd put an S Club 7 CD in the head unit, she had to go :-) Now seems like a good time to kiss and make up. No point in having stupid arguments with guys you don't know ...

Maybe so - he should come back and explain his position. If I'm in the wrong then I'll apologise! :D But as for Redrobbie - when he can lay claim to owning something decent, then I'll listen to his infantile ranting. I guess he's quite amusing in a 'wind him up and watch him go' kind of way....espec...

It would in fact appear that you sir are being the twat here. Slagging a fellow zoner off for not having owned as many nice cars as yourself. I also take it that you bear absolutely no interest whatsoever in the E46 M3/CS/l. Yes but you're from Norfolk. The E30 is probably still a current mo...

Jesus, whatever happened to education?? There's no such thing any more. Have you heard ont he news they're thinking of doing after school classes because the standard of education has dropped so far. You just have to watch how a youngster types, ie. text talk... barely legible dialect! Yeah but No ...

I bought a new Ford Ka in May 1999 because a) My 19 year old g'friend wanted to learn to drive b) I fancied 45 mpg. It was Ԛ£4995 with a year's insurance, no power steering, no fuck all. Well the Ka did 49'000 miles in 2 years, sold it to a Ford dealer for Ԛ£2700. No repairs, and all the s...

Their claims may well be boll*cks So what are you trying to say? I know Richard very well and he's never quoted 250 bhp to me so someone is clearly doing them no favours at all. This is like the Bexley 240 bhp 2.7 with a standard cam - they told him one thing, the customer says something else. Bull...

250 out of a 325i - nope. What do you mean about technology moving on? Their full race engines were useless for the road and would barely idle. You can chuck as much fuel as you like into it but the ports and more importantly the valves are just not big enough. that's why they went for the 16 valve ...

Chaos - everyone here thinks you're a cunt. And you are. Every car you 'buy' you back out of because you're a penniless virgin loser. So; go out tonight and lose your virginity for Christ's sake. Noooooooo! Don't fit a 3.91. It won't go much better but it'll rev like buggery and use a load more fuel/nerves. One of the best mods I ever did to my Touring was to replace the 3.91 with a 3.64. Much nicer top end ,Just leave it well alone, they go well enough. :) ive personally owned 6 x 325i's 4...

Sounds like he was using third gear - have you got a dogleg gearbox?? The dogleg unit has a direct drive top (5th) gear which is the same 1:1 ratio as fourth in a standard overdrive unit. In which case 4th gear would give you about 14 - 15 mph per 1000 rpm in fourth. BMW made a 4.45 ratio diff for 3...

You mean Bexleys tell bare faced l**'s? Gosh, I'm really shocked. Eye, I knae that ye be jestin' laddie ;-) Hmmm, well as we all know an engine needs two things to make power, fuel and air. So if an engine normally gives 170 bhp with a 252 degree cam, that means that Bexley's ECU trickery and superb...

Well bexleys did a 2.7 with no cams and stock exhaust which made 240bhp! Andrew Yeah, course they did. So an old 2.7 M20 with standard 325i cam and exhaust does more power than a 2.5 Sport Evolution M3? Don't thonk so. Remember that old adage about believing none of what you read and even less of w...

250 bhp my ar8e. With that spec it might, just might, do 200 bhp on a good day. You can talk all you like about throttle bodies but at the end of the day this is an old 2 valve per cylinder engine which in FULL RACE tune - i.e not road useable - did 240 bhp when built by Hartge as opposed to some gu...

I did the article for TBMW on my old Gold Ring Slag. You need to open up the manifold otherwise it's a waste of time - you've still got to get air through that hole. A dremel is sort of okay but you need CUTTING drills, not grinding. Grinding ones clog up instantly with ally dust. Or use a very coar...

323i had the small case diff until about June 1984. After that the big diff came out with the 325e 9Eta) and this is in fact an E28 518 - 528i casing with a different rear cover - it's called the Type 188 and was also used on the lower powered E34's. later 323i, 325i, 325e and M3 all used the big di...
