Re: Anyone own a 320is

I own one.... I have had it for Four years nearly, and it has been my everyday driver since then, that includes sitting in London traffic in the heat of this summer just past to driving to France and back for a weeks skiing in the Cold. I dont know how to compare it to a 325 as I have never owned on...

Re: H&R roll bar adjsutment

I have 35mm cupkit and H+R Roll bars, I run the front on the softest and the rear on the hardest. Handles so well, if you set up for the corner you can take it at very fast speeds.
When I had the front on medium i was getting too much understeer. Could be my style of driving though!! winkeye

I had mine fall off in under a month! Have the BMW M3 ones on there now and there is no difference between the two. The choice is yours.

Tyre crisis (Kind of)

Hi guys, first of all I have done a search about this as there is alot of tyre talk but most of you guys are running bigger alloys than me. Okay, I had 4 new Toyo Proxis T1R's put on the car the other day, the profile of them is 205/55 R15, this should be the standard size for 15" wheels. Anyway sin...

I have used my 320is (s14 engine) everyday since I bought it back in 2003-4. In that time I have covered about 35,000 miles, this has been motorway and London traffic use, and since its a motorsport engine you have to rev it quite alot winkeye I dont see any problem in using one as an everyday car, ...

Subframe bushes dont make a huge difference and nor do the thicker spring pads to be honest. It was way to low for me so I got some 35mm springs, thinking I might go back to standard now and just keep the H+R roll bars. you might want to also check your rear tyres as they will probably wear out on t...

320is Vs 318is suspension differences

Hey guys, I just got myself a 318is as the 320is is having some work done to it. I have spare parts from my 320is, ARB's and Springs. What I need to know is, do these parts differ from the 318is and if so would it be an improvement to fit them to the 318is? I also need to find a 318is front spoiler!...

Its great if you dont live in London. Personally I dont like the 60/40 drop, too low and causes excessive rear tyre wear.
I will either be going to 35 springs or some M3 springs.

Probably the petrol vent tank. The hoses go from the fuel tank to the little tank then hoses go to the outside, this helps when filling up the car as the pressure adapts to the fuel being put in. Could be wrong though!

Make sure your rear sub bushes are done first otherwise your car will be to low! (ask me how i know!)

If you do alot of town driving I would go for the 35mm option.

remember that M-tech only lowers by 15mm or so. The Hartge suspension is 25mm lower, and is slightly nose-down. These companies have spent an awful lot of money in developing the best set-up for driving BMWs on real roads - therefore you might conclude that anything lower is for looks only, and too...

Yeah the Cup kit would not have really stiff springs compaired to what the Coil over crew in the states will be running on a M3 but they are stiffer and lower than lets say -35mm/Mtech springs. The good thing about the cup kit and most of the H&R springs for the E30 is that the front is stiff but b...

I see your point, do you have any profile shots of your car? The car was going to be mainly a track car, but you need to get to the track aswell as driving on it! I think what I will do first is get some new rear sub frame mounts, see what this does to the car, Hopefully it will raise the rear a bit...

Any problems with rubbing under hard acceleration?
