Picking up my new m52 engine tomorrow some removel questions

hi, getting my m52 tommorrow froman e38, unfortunatly i have to remove the engine myself. Where is the ews module located and what exactly do i need to remove? as far as i know, i need to remove the engine bit, ecu, ews module, dme and the keys. Google doesnt seem to want to tell me where they are. ...

thanks for your reply, yeah i have read through the the m52 section, but the pictures have disappeared for the wiring hence asking, and doenst have the info for the linkages using a 318i gearbox. (m40 318i gearbox is what i have btw)

hi, just collecting parts for my m52 conversion, does the sump fit from the e38? And thats with the e36 mounting arms on e28 m5 rubbers. Also anyone have a wiring diagram? Gearbox - a e30 318i gearbox fit? what linkage would be needed, or is it better just the use the 318is gearbox that seems to be ...

Why does it say 1995 E36 328i M52 Engine - with EWS, Is there a reason the later years are not reccomeneded?

i take it then that its number 3 that i need to make?
number 4 is just a spacer?
is number 2 part of the bumper bracket or do i need to make this as well?

thanks! Would rather have some idea what i need to do before i strip it down as it is my main car atm so cant really afford any downtime

fitting a towbar

hi

got a geniune towbar, but not the reinforcement plates that go in the boot. Does anyone have some pics or measurements of these plates so i now what i am making?

well i had a play and ther si no air coming out of the bleed valve was running for about an hour, coolant coming through nicely, but im still very cold!

thanks. i have fiddled with the a bleed valve on the water pump, i shall look at the thermostat tommmorow, its getting a bit nippy in the mournings now!

hi, have done my coolant change, but my heater now does not work! fan etc.. all work, jsut blows cold air, i am assuming an air lock in the heater but, any tips on getting it sorted? did this a couple fo years ago and i seemed to be messing around most of winter trying to get it going and it just de...

ones from bmw sond easy, sure to be expensive though! i found a flaring tool so not an issue to make them up, just wondering on the size of pipe and approx length,

hoofed on the brakes the other day and the brake pipe decided to go pop.

going to get some more pipe tommorrow and hopefully find a clinching tool for the ends, my question is this

what size is the pipe? what size ends do i need?

large mcdonalds drink fits neatly between the handbrake and the centre console thingy, just need to remeber to hold it if you would like to rapidly slow down.

have to say my e30 is the cheapest car to insure i think ive had yet, and the quickest, had reached the ripe old age of 21 when i got her. my e30 is my main car, in about 2 1/2 years, it has never let me down, water pump sprung a leak but not to bad to get me home, i have taken her to France, belgum, Germany, Hungry, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Spain and Ibiza. A few bushes here and their but nothing that has ever stopped...
