Thanks Paulette sounds like the same set up not a lot to go wrong with fitting just taken one side off and I can push the damper in and out yurt by using slight finger force suspect these are faulty dampers almost feel as if no fluid or gas resistance will try new set thanks

J plate 325 mine has 2 dampers at work so no pics thought there may be someone who’s had the same issue or experience

They are from bmw maindealer

Don’t think so because the damper should spring outwards and need force to close so either way round shouldn’t matter it seems like instead of pushing outwards they are pulling inwards may take the damper off to see what they do unfitted may be wrong ones

Had the rear dampers replaced on my bootlid but the dampers seem to be pushing bootlid closed instead of helping it up any ideas on what could be wrong thanks

Hi what size are the rear speakers in a cabby are they 10cm thanks

My car is with Barry at the moment mini resto and full suspension ,brakes, steering overhaul
He has an excellent knowledge of all things e30 and has a good set up, keeps you updated and gives good advice

Had a look dried out but could no see any drain hole I'm looking where the roof bars are attached to the body near the rear quarter

Hi I have a 1992 convertible the bit under the horse shoe fills up with water and just sits there have to sponge it out any ideas what would cause this is there any drainage here or should water not be getting in only thing I can think of is the rubber seal for horse shoe any help appreciated thanks

Drive my 325 daily regular use seems to make them more reliable if you keep on top of maintenance have done for over 10 years got it with 48k on the clock now almost 200k with an engine change

There is a bulb but it is usually down to a broken wire that runs under the centre console to behind the hand brake

I use them often never had a problem with them use them for things beyond my skills they when on colon rock roundabout now near Langley station if you google autotech Langley the number will come up

Sorted found the lug hole where the tensioner pin needs to slot into just part the pump gasket does not leak after refitting everything

Thanks reverse thread was the issue also the water pump is off I can see where the tension bar and springs go on pump does the other end just rest on the belt also is the pin with the shoulder go against the pump thanks

Hi how do you stop the pulley turning while undoing the viscous fan nut ? On a 325

Hi did a quick search but could not see my issue. I have a loud rattle from the front of my engine no leaks or overheating if I hold and move the fan it has a lot of play like it is loose . So question is do I need a new viscous or is it the water pump or will I not know till I start dismantling any...
