m43 disa

i have a rattling disa on the wifes e46 318 .
can i remove it and fit some sort of blank ?
will it run with out engine management issues ?

has anyone tried using a 1 series joint ?
don't know if they would be any good but just seen a pic of one on ebay when I was looking for something else .

when i had the car it was on OE beam and diff bushes along with m3 wishbone bushes .
only polys where rollbars and trailing arms .

probably benifit from a full seal kit at 200k , i know mine needed it at 150k .
not a bad job to do if your going to take off the vanos anyway .
if a tool like me can manage you should be fine

maybe just the o ring between the vanos and cylinder head .

thanks to you all for the info .
i'm not worried about the brakes ect as I have it all on the m3
one thing I did think of was getting the oil temp gauge to work as I think it was only m3 that had it .

e36 evo touring ?

after selling my e30 last year i ended up with a e36 m3 evo coupe .
the car is a bit rough around the bodywork but running gear is good , i keep thinking about swapping everything over to a touring.
has anyone built one or know of one that has been built and wot if any problems were there ?

niel my old m50 did not have the hole drilled in the flywheel as i told you it was just a thought for timing it up . lee's old m50 e30 did and it ran ok . mine was ok but i'm sure there are much better 24v e30s than my old one

update . lots more done billy b8s , new diff seals and fresh b373 oil , new OE rear beam mounts with void fillers , OE diff bush , m3 OE wishbone bushes , poly roll bars and rear swing arm bushes , e36 window switches , std interior along with small tech 1 , another 5l of waxoyl and then SOLD to TDS...

i have found a replacement pump . the one fitted to the car is ATE 34511164896 and the one i have found is 34511164897 . anyone know if this will fit and work ok ? the pumps look the same and both are asc .

just had a look on google and found that 113 could be something to do with n/s/f sensor / wiring too or from it . also seen about wiring faults inside the pump unit and soldering new wires . does this mean anything to anyone or should i not be using google for diagnostics

e36 abs fault code 113 ?

i had a quick look at mates e36 abs fault today , i used carsoft and the fault i got out of it was 113 abs/asc feedback pump . i am guessing that's the valve block / pump assembly or a connection to it ? am i on the right track or does anyone have better idea ? thanks

does anyone know if the bungs/plates in the front floor are still available ? [ its a small disc with 4 tabs on it ] i tried looking on bmwfans but cant find them :(

cant see any rust where the stud has snapped off . i was down to me being too heavy handed when refitting the glovebox :( . i can see the metal is double skin that's why i asked about using a rivnut . Brian can the bead of sealant be got at to be resealed if needed ?

i have had both racks fitted to my e30 . i found the e46 one to have more lock and a more weighted feel than the z3 one did .
