Heater Matrix and wet footwell..
Happy New Year first of all. Right I have looked up on previous posts and have found a few snippits that help me. I was rushing out on NYE to a party and I had a smell and some very light steam in the car and instantly recognised it, as I had the same smell and very hot foot last year in my M3 but w...

Leaking M3 Footwell
Evening All I have a little problem with the M3. I was driving it Christmas Eve and I burnt my foot as boiling coolant forced it's way in to the drivers footwell. I topped up the coolant and limped home. I called out the RAC this evening and they have confirmed that the coolant pipes are dry within ...

The article in EVO about the omega you couldn't of read it very well because they had no trouble reaching speeds in excess of 220mph and it didn't have a rotary engine ! I had the M3 upto an indicated 157mph and it felt fantastic stable it didn't feel at all light you could feel the aerodynamics doi...

Re: dashboard and console lights. not working please help.
That's correct the headlamp adj fogs and main lights do illuminate within the dash.
All instruments on the speedo/rev unit light up except the two 501 lamps
And the lights within the main console ash tray heater etc.
Thanks
I hope that's a bit clearer

Re: 2.7 Vs the Hot Hatches
E36 Boy I didn't say that I beat the 330ci but we were pretty much side by side until about 130mph then power and aerodynamics started playing there part and he the 330ci started edgeing away but like I say only edgeing.... But as DaveTouring mentioned the Slip stream situation when I was behind the...

Re: 2.7 Vs the Hot Hatches
Well as I have a 215 bhp UK M3 to compare I know what they both feel like and "murder" might be pushing it but it is most certainly quicker in many situations except above 3.5k the M3 does really move but the 2.7 pulls like a TGV from the second the the pedal is pressed. but the 2.7 starts to hit a ...

Re: 2.7 Vs the Hot Hatches
Well the reason I asked about this little thought is because I have had a run in with all of the above cars The Clio 182 was behind me on the M1 and each and every time the traffic cleared we both went for it and I dropped it every time and above 100 I really started to pull away. The Focus ST 170 w...

Recently my girlfriend wanted to buy a car and I wasn't going to get involved because her old man really likes to get his oar in. In response to the Ford Sport Ka vs e30 M3 on fifth gear that was and is a stupid comparison....reason a very early and leggy e30 M3 (195bhp) but then recently seen to produce around 180bhp.... and also Tiff was having alot of sideways action rather than really concentrating on a fast clean lap.... ...

I remember a e30 rolling road test in Total Bmw a while back and there was an Auto 2.7 that gave the best power on the day 222bhp and similar torque..... I think that was a Bexley car... Hi I have just got my car back from the garage... It has just had a 2.7 conversion carried out and I'm slowly running it in...
