Re: Surely this will change your mind about the E36?

I think if you find a nice clean well looked after e36 you cant go wrong, after years of e30 m3 and a couple of 325 sports, last June I got my first e36 3.0 m3, fitted a schnitzer suspension kit from rossiters and havent looked back. Its fast, smooth, comfy, and not too heavy on fuel, I love it! ver...

Re:

Andyboy, your so right, I've had so many e30's including five m3's since 1990 and still get that feeling when I see one but since getting my e36 m3 as a daily driver I could never go back, it all seems a bit old now, the level of refinement is years ahead, and its so comfy and smooth. The e30 is sti...

Yes its a 3.6 with 315 hp and it feels so smooth and quick, and the noise when pushed is lovely! I wish I'd not driven it now as iy'll be hard to return to a smaller car . I'm very tempted to look for a nice m5 touring now .

Hi, as you may remember last wk I sold my e30 m3, I wasn't really ready to sell it so found myself without a car, I was looking for a 5 or 7 to bum around in untill I decided what to do. I've just swapped a few bits and pieces I had in my garage for a 91 e34 m5 in LHD , jesus what a car! I've not ta...

One thing I can add is in the past I've jacked up a 325 sport on one side and the doors are hard to open , but when I do the same with my M3 you can still open all the doors so it must be a lot stiffer .
Just something I noticed .

When I found this fault on an m3 I used a gas detector and put it in the boot , when I drove along it was fine but as soon as I opened a window this caused a flow of gasses through the car and set off the detector . This problem on e30's is normally caused by the swirl of fumes at the back of the car . If you had your car in a wind tunnel it would be easy to see ! as the car moves the exhaust fumes swirl up around the boot area . When you open a window or sunroof this causes a flow of air out of the car pulling...

The additional fuel was for the fuel in the tank when these cars left the factory , I cant remember how it worked now but I believe the factory charged the dealer and the dealer passed the cost on to the customer in some way .
