Ah cool, i had a quick go at banging the caps out earlier and they would not budge is it a case of banging them towards the centre of the UJ or try and extract them away from the UJ? I was trying to work out what to do also, so here's what I did. Close the vice jaws enough to lay the top half flat,...

Yep, check the Group Buy section for the thread "Steering Linkages" started by DanThe and have a look at his comparison picture on the angle of the steering knuckle between E30 and E36 rack... I think it's on page 5.

Re: Picture request - RHD Turbo cars

The two joined pipes on the left in the V are now gone (relocated to other side) they are wastegate pipes. As you can see I cut some heatshield off the firewall, still can't fit 3" down there without touching everything

Re: Picture request - RHD Turbo cars
Hmmm, I'm not sure I can get a 3" bend back under the manifold to run that side of the steering knuckle.
I'm looking at ripping out the steering couple and using a solid spacer instead to get some more room.
Thanks guys - any more photos appreciated!

Cheers chaps :) Gonna order a 1.5hp single phase electric motor (should be man enough for the job!) and also the vacuum pump from a transit van this evening. Using a vacuum cleaner as the vac pump doesn't generate anywhere near enough vacuum, and it's annoyingly noisy (like you can hear it in the h...

Alex - have a look at the MicroSquirt. DIYAutoTune are also in the process of building DIYPNP, which is basically plug and pray MicroSquirt for the 55pin Motronic.
You could also look at running something like a S-AFC but for MAP not AFM .... no?

Interesting you have problems with your pistons from TEP. I ordered my custom ones from there also 8:1 CR, moly coated skirts and ceramic coated crowns...pistons turned up non-coated. Not happy - but as you said, sending back and forth to USA is a PITA (especially from Australia!) The build looks aw...

Re: Freakin' awesome! Guess what I just bought :D
The moroso oil accumulator basically holds oil pressure in a cylinder when the car is off, when you turn the ignition it releases it back into the system allowing it to be pressurised prior to start up. Youd need the accumulator and solenoid relay for it to be setup via key operation, otherwise its ...

Keeping it in the turbine housing and manifold will help in spool-up, once its into the exhaust it shouldnt be a problem.
