Changing Starter motor
Hi guys I think my starter motor has had it on my m20b25 facelift! Funds being low i'm going to try and attempt to change it myself, the only complication is that the LPG vaporiser is in the way. I have been advised that it would be best to change it from underneath the car as opposed from the top. ...

I am now racking my brains over this and for the life of me can't find the solution! Long story short, since the cold weather has kicked in I have been having trouble starting my car. It took a couple of turns to get it to fire. Was about the leave work in the evening went to crank but this time rou...

Don't mean to hijack the thread but my m20b25 is doing exactly the same thing, i have changed the sparks, checked the coil, dizzy, rotor arm as well all is fine there.
Could the problem be related to a faulty afm?

Sparkies
Right the car M20B25 was getting harder and harder to start in the morning especially since I run LPG. And yesterday it left me completely stranded and won't start at all, ended up pulling out the sparkies and they are covered with soot - after only 5,000 miles, brushed them down and replaced them b...

Can hear the tappets inside the cabin.
Hi all Since having my gearbox changed (autobox) I seem to be hearing the tappets more inside the cabin sounds like it's coming from the footwell/centre console?! Also the selector seems to be out of line as week as. When getting into park, for example, I have to 'force' the shifter to click into pl...

Hi all This is in relation to the last post that I made about the shaking that was coming from the centre of the car when taking off from standstill. Today, as I was going to the mechanics the car lost all the forward gears, D, 1, 2 and 3 - apart from the reverse! But just it had lost of forward gea...

Re: headlight switch
Two 8mm bolts are holding the front plate in place, whilst looking at the switch head on there is a bolt in the bottom left corner and a bolt in the top right corner.
Once out you'll be able to pull the connector plug off.

Not a banging sound but the car stuggles to pick up speed, still revs hard but isn't pulling as it did.
As standstill, if I rev no shakes, only when I'm in drive will it shake.

Hi all I have noticed recently that my m20 with an auto box is not behaving as it does normally. Basically from a standstill start there is a lot if shaking until the gear changes up to second but whilst still gaining speed in second, it'll lose revs from 3,500 to 3,000 and then pick up from there. ...

Cheers Willnz much appreciated!
Now once I have replaced this hose, what steps do I take in topping up the coolant, anti-freeze to water and making sure that the system is bleed properly without blowing the head gasket?
Also if I'm replacing this hose should I replace any others at the same time?

K&N air filter
I am running a m20 with LPG at the mo.
The airbox doesn't sit up its bracket as the cat flap has moved everything forward.
I'm thinking of swapping it for a K&N instead are they any good?
