I had a similar issue with my m52b28. Poor fuel economy and it drove like it was a vtech engine. Would be sluggish up to 4K ish then take off. Would also pop on the overrun. Same fault code as yours. Bought a new cps from BMW and solved the problem... About 120 I think... Thanks for the reply JC_18...
