hello, sorry for not being specific earlier, it puts out about 0.65 CO
and it must be below 0.5 CO to pass the mot.
anyways, what could it be? could it be the icv? the cat?
lambda is 1

checked for vacums, but couldn't find any.
could it be the fuel filter? haven't checked that.
any ideas?

yes, it could be the fuel pressure regulator. it happened to me once. it flooded the engine continuously. checked everything, and turned out to be the fpr, it didn't gave enough pressure. try measuring the fuel pressure.

hi all,
i'm wondering if anyone can help with a bit of advice regardin this type of engine. '1996 2.8TD isuzu
is this by chance the interference type? with the valves entering the piston chamber?
it's not about the e30, but if someone is a mechanic, and heard about it.

as, i can remember, after you take off your bumper off (it is actually easy), you can grip the clips from the inside of the bumper and push them out. they are mettalic, so won't do just pulling the strip out from the outside. hope this helps!

have you checked the fuel pressure in the injector rail? had a similar problem once, had spark, fuel, but no start. are you sure the pump isn't working while the engine turns over?

i've checked a bmw parts catalog, and it seems that the 320i, 323i, jetronic or motronic, use the same 2.5bar FPR and the 325i uses the 3.0bar, and some of the 4 cylinder ones, use either the 2.5 or the 3.0 depending on wether is it motronic or not. i'm just curios on what importance this specificat...

318i M40 4 cylinder 113 HP 188 km/h 1987 - 1991

as i can recall, the m10 is all in all a better engine.and it was in use for a longer time than the m40.

yes, the LPG way.
let me guess if i get this right. it will have the same mpg, but with half the cost of the petrol? or will it have a slightly fewer mpg?

well, i can't get my hands on an 318is engine :D so if not, i'll sell the m40 lump, it's in good condition. yes the 2 litre is making 23 mpg consumption wich i think it's pretty good for a 2.0 litre engine or not?:D it's like 7.5-8.5 in litres per 100km oh sorry i got the conversion all wrong...wher...

wow, lots of feedback, thanks! actually my m20b20 doesn't have such a high fuel consumption, but i was thinking the m40b16 has even better fuel economy and being motronic and all. anyways, my m20b20 runs pretty smooth no problems. so you are saying it's not worth the mod, even if mine is a LE-Jetron...
