Re: Wiper Electrical Issues
Brian thanks for that, have downloaded Haynes and now understand circuit. Quick check reveals no 12 V on connector. Also stripped back PVC tape on wires leading up to connector and discovered wires have been crimped together, did know that car had damage around the o/s front so potentially had to be...

Re: Wiper Electrical Issues
Thanks for the replies, Brian yours was very informative, sorry about posting to the wrong forum, too much thinking about what to say and not enough about where to say it. Took out the motor and cleaned it up the inside, contacts were greasy and the metal plate was badly pitted and rusty. Then took ...

Wiper Electrical Issues
I have a 1990 325is, the windscreen wipers work but only one speed, no intermittent, no fast and they do not self-park. I have removed and installed another K10 relay (2nd hand) with no difference, I have also directly connected power to pin 53 & 53b, the wipers worked but I did not notice any diffe...

Re: Series 1 Coupe or Hatchback
My wife has a 125i, fantastic little car, if it’s on the drive somehow it always seems more convenient to use than my road car! Also used it for some track days and that’s when you appreciate the rear wheel drive (a plague on BMW for changing the new model to front wheel drive). My neighbour has 10 ...

Re: Head Gasket
Its the 2.5 engine. Head was skimmed and pressure tested and all OK, torqued down for about 4 weeks and has not been run when I had a brain fade and could not remember if I had fitted the locating dowels (which I had!)
Thanks for advice.

Head Gasket
I have just removed and replaced cylinder head but have now had to lift head off again.
For sure I am getting new head bolts but should I also replace the head gasket as its all been torqued down - the engine has not run so gasket is as new?
Thanks

Re: Viscous Fan removal
If you go on to e-bay and there is a "Fan Clutch Wrench Water Pump Holder Removal Tool" advertised. Simple piece of kit which if you can access some 10swg steel it would be easy to fashion for yourself.

Valve Spring Compressor
I am shortly taking the head off my M20B25 and will need to buy a valve spring compressor. Halfords are currently offering a Laser C type for £10, has anyone had experience of this make? Seems to good to be true at that price!

Re: Dolphin Grey 325i Sport
Wow, you have just made me realize how much work I have to do on my 325is to get it look as they should.
It looks like one of the best I have every seen. Fantastic.
