Re: bmw e30 mint coupe doorcards
Looking good , pity that they're non electric windows Hi mate hope you and the E30 going well ? Just for general knowledge, the early PFL door cards had the hole on electric windows too, it was covered by a blanking cap. You could take the cap off and use the winder thing in the toolbox to manually...

Couple of good tyres for the 205/55/15 around, Currently there is a Continental and a Goodyear. Rainsport 5 are still there and a bit cheaper than the other two. Getting tyres for the back of staggered Alpinas, now that is more of a problem :banghead: I've just fitted Rainsport 5 all round on mine ...

slight misfire
Evening my m20 on start up from cold is showing signs of a misfire , she's starts ok but when I hold the revs steady at around 1200 the engine seems to be starved of air /fuel with the revs dropping then rising again and repeat until the engine warms up a little. Also she takes a few seconds to star...

Re: Valuation
Just renewed my insurance with Footman James today for my chromie 325i cab, called them to discuss agreed value as i felt last years £6k figure was too low. Now agreed at £16k without seeing a single photo of the car, the kind lady checked valuations and came back with " we have values between £12k...

Thanks both , not sure to look regarding the dry solder joint but it'll be out there somewhere . The batteries are a fairly recent replacement and everything else works as they should but something else to consider .

Re: Water into cabin
Sprinkle some talcum powder around to see if you can narrow the source down. Ben Hi Ben , I know where the waters entering the cabin, its dripping down from the plastic cover which envelops the heater core etc inside the car ( The matrix is brand new and its not coolant) . My query is how is it get...

Re: Water into cabin
Not sure if this is any help to you, but I had the same issue with a different car, it was a blocked rainwater drain. Basically, water will fill up to the heater hole and spill over into the cabin when driving. Could help if you check all draining holes in the engine bay. Thanks for the reply, I've...

Water into cabin
I've noticed a small wet patch directly beneath the join of the plastic cover of the heater , this isn't a regular occurrence I don't believe its the matrix ( no coolant just clear water) and if it isn't then could rain water enter the cabin via the vents beneath the windscreen then into the black p...

Re: My Starter won’t Stop! (HELP ME)
I recently bought a 1987 BMW 325i Cabrio with a bad starter, so naturally I replaced it, and now the car starts! But it won’t stop either.. even when I take the key out of the ignition the starter is still spinning with the engine off (it’s a brand new starter and it sounds like one too) the only w...

Unusual noise from engine
Good evening, I'm trying to establish the cause of a whooshing sound which occasionally emanates from beneath my bonnet whilst driving, I can't replicate the sound at idle. Its a metallic whoosh at lowish revs , I suspect it could be the viscous fan but I'm not sure . I know the rolled up paper meth...

Actually that is useful, if yours was 1988 then it means the website where I saw that the colour was discontinued in 1987 was wrong. I'll see about getting a sample to be sure. It kind of looks like lapisblau to me, but then apparently that stopped being used in 1989? This is the only picture I have of my old one and I just can't remember the colour code at all, I'm thinking of changing my new one to this colour when it gets resprayed. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/SZ...
