Hi,
Have been told you can still get SE side skirts from dealer.
Can you help?
Thanks

Re: Elan's Alpina C2 2.7
I notice you didn't put the side skirts back on?
Not a fan? (I dont particularly like them either)
I have the same ones on my standard 325i. That is the first time I have seen another car with them!
Did it come from Synther Nottingham originally?

If it was anything like mine pretty much every rubber fuel hose will be perished and cracked or will crack once you start driving it!
Check the rubber intake boot too.
Make sure you change the fuel filter.

If fuel is coming out of the vacuum pipe at the top of the FPR then it is shot.

You have missed the boat in my opinion.
They did the big jump about 5-10 years ago. They will steadily rise now but no more than any other classic car.

Fuel Filter Hoses
I recently changed my fuel filter and noticed I seem to have an extra hose from the photos and diagrams I have seen online. It is about 5-6 inches and comes from the tank and goes nowhere just sits next to the fuel filter. Is it some kind of breather pipe or something? All seems to be working fine j...

Re: 325i E30 - fuel in engine oil!!
Pull the vacuum line off the FPR and see if any fuel comes out. If so, the diaphragm inside has gone. This will leak fuel into your manifold. Also, leaking injectors. Get them refurbished or replace with new. If they haven't been done before they will want doing anyway. Made a huge difference when I...

Update . . . Fitted new injectors . . . . . . . . what a difference! Would recommend getting them refurbished to anyone! However, didn't solve the problem. Changed more fuel pipes as were all brittle and perished anyway. Finally found the issue. Big split in the underside of the gallows section of t...

Hi, I have had my 325i a little over a year. It has recently started being troublesome to start when warm. It starts perfectly when cold but if i use it for a short trip and then try and start it again it will struggle and take 4-5 attempts to start, also chucking a load of raw fuel out of the exhau...

Walked past my car last night in the street and noticed a very badly parked white Nissan far too close to the rear of my car for comfort. I made a note of the reg plate. Walked past again this morning and the Nissan has gone but there are a load of scratches to the corner of my nice colour coded rea...

Don't bother. I wasted hours trying to separate them in the manner Brian suggests and whilst I am sure it would be possible in the end, they are a pretty inexpensive part. Just replace the lot and have peace of mind its all new.

Re: My E30 325i
I may end up painting it at some point. I just dont really like the side skirts. The joint in them by the door hinge annoys me. It looks like it has come appart and needs pushing back together. Nearly everyone who looks round the car points it out! I have a set of M-tech 1 skirts that I might stick ...

Finally got round to doing some work on the car. Worked out the fuel smell was coming from two split pipes so they got replaced, that probably didn't help the poor MPG figures. Also fitted a mild ECU chip. Nicely surprised by the difference that makes! Got rid of the 14 inch BBS and stuck on a set o...

205/55/15 or 225/50/15?
