Re: Door Switch Refurb
That’s the one Dan.
The wire contact and earth to the car seem fine, acts more like when you open the door the tab is too stiff and doesn’t move enough to complete the circuit. Looks clean and I’ve lubricated them but no improvement.

Door Switch Refurb
Hi,
Is anyone aware of any methods to repair/refurbish the interior light door switches?
Mine are very temperamental and would rather not be forking out for new ones at £77 + VAT.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: 1991 318is
Nice looking motor, do have a soft spot for an iS. If you want to liven it up a little without going crazy, get a lightweight flywheel in there, fit a Z3 or E46 Clubsport steering rack and maybe get a remap. For the gearshift, have you gone for a standard E30 shifter now? There's plenty of short shi...

No way you should be needing to fit smaller tyres on a 30mm drop, that's assuming you're talking about 205/55/15s.

Very nice, though I have a soft spot for a Polaris chromie. Yours must be one of the last of the first gen pre-facelifts.
Any pics of the interior? Wish I’d kept hold of my blue cloth interior in the hope I could’ve found some matching sports seats!

Re: Fader Switch Wiring
I was thinking I could use it in a way to act as a volume control rather than a fader. I only have a BT receiver behind the dash, no HU, which uses RCA’s to feed a couple of amps, I have a volume controller (bottom left, below the HVAC), but want to try getting something into an OEM switch position....

Fader Switch Wiring
Hi All,
Does anyone know how the fader switch pinouts (A1, A2, S1, S2, E1, E2) correspond to the plug (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)? I have a switch, but no plug.
Cheers

Re: Question for the E30 exhaust system gurus
As catalytic converters weren't a requirement in the UK until 1992 I doubt many, if any, UK E30s had them fitted here.
But by all accounts, cats do impact performance as they slow down the rate exhaust gases can escape. If you don't need to fit one I wouldn't bother.

Momo/Raid Steering Wheel Boss/Hub
Hi,
I'm after a steering wheel hub/boss kit to fit a Raid steering wheel to my E30, pretty sure it's the same pattern as a Momo.
Tried a cheap one off eBay and needless to say, the casting was crap and it didn't fit the column.
Cheers,
Dave

Problem with a lot of the fold out screens is they foul the indicator stork.
Many many years ago when I had a screen in an E30 I had to use a LHD control panel to avoid the indicator stork.

Yep, what Clarko said is correct. Most of them were bought up by just a couple of individuals.
There was a Zoner that made a pretty effective repair with his caps, I'll see if I can find the thread for you.

Central Locking Noise
Hi, My nearside central locking actuator seems to keep trying to operate after turning the key to unlock the car (can't remember if it does it on locking), it makes a loud buzzing type noise for a second or two. Which is more likely to be the culprit, the actuator itself or the central locking relay...
