Re: Car mats?

I had a few messages with the guy who does these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Velours-floor-car-mats-suitable-for-BMW-E34-5-series-M5-SPORT-FROM-BAVARIA/112614279046 They look very similar to the original ones in my chromie (without the multi coloured stitching) He claimed not to have a pattern for ...

Car Trouble :(

For the first time in 4 years of owning it my prefacelift 325 cab has failed. On the motorway yesterday at 70 and it died, the Rev counter fell to zero like a stone. On the hard shoulder it started up fine. Accelerated away and the Rev counter got to around 3k but didn’t go any higher despite speed ...

Cabriolet boot lock broken

Hi, the key turns, but there is no resistance and the boot now won’t open. Is there a way to resolve this? Cars at the garage for an MOT so any help I can pass on would be appreciated.

Practice Classics magazine

I was flicking through the pages in the supermarket and it said the E30’s steering was light and precise. The last word I’d use to describe my steering is ”˜light’. If I was being kind I would say it is weighted.

So what do the members of this fine parish have to say?p on this subject?

G4 technics is meant to be good. I just wash and dry the plastic, sometimes warming with a hairdryer and then apply in layers. Last one I used was a in can from a supermarket, before that it was Poorboys trim restorer.

Re: Any Zoners near Letchworth?

The seller is Kieren Crawford and was on the E30 Cars and Parts Facebook group. He also posted on VW pages, as he has a red Polo, as well as alloy wheel trading pages. Can't speak for the other sets of wheels and car he was selling, but for the bottletops he took the money and went silent. Then dele...

Any Zoners near Letchworth?

Looking to get some bottletops collected that I've paid for. My spidey sense is telling me the seller is a chancer but I'm the other end of the country. Happy to pay petrol / postage etc. but just need some help.

When I see pictures of these, some look to have the word Fundo on them. Were they a genuine manufacturer of the wheels? Were they ever made as replicas?

Drivers seat mechanism repair

Hi all,

The driver's back rest in my cabriolet doesn't hold in position and keeps reverting back to reclined angle that's not comfortable for me.

Presumably the mechanism needs sorting, but I'm not overly hands on. Is this something I can fix myself, or has anyone got a write-up for dummies?

Thanks

Sure I can remember under dash knee roll. Easier than some obscure Latin/medical/dinosaur name. Are the variations related to model/year?
