3:91 to 3:15 ...
Hi guys . Just finished my m52 conversion , cars been built for country lane and track work focused , went for a shorter box and a 3:91 medium case diff .. The car goes through the gears like a motorbike which is awesome but it literally runs out of gearing at 105/110 mph , oops , slightly misjudged...

Re: E34 m50 oil pickup fabrication
Easier said then done dan , almost blind fabbing .. Iirc pickups need to be 4mm from sump base .. Without sacrificing a e34 sump to cut a window in , that's a tough job ..

As always there is no substitute for seat time .. Learning how to properly drive your car on track. Seen some of the biggest spec cars crawl...

Re: E30 as a track car
Hmmm ... Yeah they make awesome track cars .. But comparing them to really modern stuff especially in tbd wet is always going to be difficult .. In the dry I'd say yes , if your wallets are deep . But with all the electric assist on the newer stuff not a chance in the wet ..

Hi guys , just fitted my new bilstein b8's and h&r springs .. They have settled a little but are still sitting quite high .. More noticeable on the front .. The ride quality is amazing but I'd like it a touch lower to be honest .. Do h&r offer more than one model of lowering spring , different heigh...

Re: My fast road / m52 build
Right .. So up first on the to do list was the suspension .. The eBay Coilovers wernt really cutting the mustard on the b-road stuff . Springs felt far to soft and the car felt nervous when pressing on .. Time for somthing a bit more appropriate .. With the car being a 320 it was on 45mm struts , an...

Re: Fast road/light track suspension options
How much real world difference is there between the performance of a bilstein b8 damper in a 45mm strut and a 51 mm strut ? Massively noticeable ? , I think the m52 in 1 kg heavier so no real difference there ? Yes magpie it's a saloon , does that change matters ? Sorry I'm new to the bm's guys so i...

That's just the info I needed , cheers lads .. Now moving forward I'm going to need to source 2 front struts to house the inserts , I understand that these come in 2 different sizes , will my 320 take the smaller size leg ? Many thanks
