Interesting point if using an e38 728i sump.

Hi all. Bough my m52 engine complete with what I thought to be an e34 m50 front hanging sump. I always figured I'd been given the incorrect dipstick with it as the oil level would read over the full mark so I measured out exactly 6.5ltrs by the jug and marked a new 'full' line on the stick. It's bug...

Ah ok thanks both. Non essential then even for mot.

I will reconnect anyway though. As it was inside the ignition switch wiring cover I assumed it was wired to the switch also

Ignition switch Unknown white plug Grey and Grey/Brown Wire

Hi all My ignition switch had died so I'm fitting a push start and ignition switch I had kicking about in the garage. The car is a track car anyway. I have the majority of the wiring sussed but I'm slightly stumped by the small white connector with a grey and a grey/brown stripe wire. I've done some...

Re: M52 e30 shopping trolley

Clio servo actually comes out inside a Clio. You drop the pedal box, disconnect master cylinder inside the engine bay and get it out. Many hammers were used on various bits in the way (in a scrap yard) and we got one out in about 10 minutes. Add an M20 flywheel to your list, machines down to about 5...

Yes sorry I was referring to the 20 pin diagnostic port. I always thought OBD was 'on board diagnostics'! I have opened up the x6000 ecu plug and pin 87 is a red/white striped wire. I patched a lead from pin 15 D100 to Pin 87 x600 and still get a no comms error Seeing as the wire changes from white/...

OBD Port Pin 15 -> ECU Pinout

Hi all, Stupidly (don't ask why!) on my m52b28 loom I removed the White/yellow stripe wire from pin 15 on the obd port when doing my loom - think I got s little confused when removing the abs unit connector! I think pin 15 is a comm line for obd so code readers/ecu reading software doesn't work! I t...

No the 316 uses all the electric gizmos in the pieburg to calculate the econometer readings.

You lose this on the weber but rest assured economy is improved! I actually have one sat in my garage if you need one!

Id never come across it before either. And literally finished my build this week too!! I had to replace my master cylinder this week, I don't think there's any adjustment in the pedal tbh. Re: M52 swap clutch pedal travel issue

Oddly enough mine does the same...! Have you lengthened the clutch fork at all? If read quite a few people weld 5mm onto it to make up for not using an e21 release bearing! I can only assume that I've welded on a couple mm too much and it's causing this issue. I'm just gonna knock up a clutch spacer...

Hi all, Just completing my M52 swap using the zf gearbox and correct slave (brand new) I've battled to try and get any clutch pedal feel whatsoever!
