Re: 2001 323ci engine in swap.
thanks for the reply, how do you learn about all this?
I think i am doing a lot of reading but obviously not enough.
I think that i am going to pass it over to quarry to sort out for me. the lads there are decent and although it will cost i dont think this is a job for me.
thanks again!

Re: jump started negative polarity car ideling funy and wont
Two problems with this. Your car doesn't have a cam shaft sensor, and there is no wiring that could possibly be rubbed through by the cam belt! A more likely, and a very common fault, is that your crankshaft sensor wiring has been damaged by the fan belt (or more likely the water pump pulley, drive...

Re: jump started negative polarity car ideling funy and wont
Thanks for all the replies guys! Got it into quarry. Turns out it wasn't anything to do with my cross polarity jump start. The cam shaft sensor had been shorted out due to the cable coming loose and the cam belt Had burnt through the insulation and was causing miss reading and shorting it out. It ha...

Re: jump started negative polarity car ideling funy and wont
is there a possibility that it ran so low on fuel that there is some shit stuck in the system? i tested the amps across the fuse connections for the fuel pump and it was drawing 5amp which i understand to be correct?
could there be some dirt potentially hampering it.
thanks

Re: jump started negative polarity car ideling funy and wont
No the car hasn't left as I was due to pick it up this morning. We knew the battery was flat and I made the mistake of thinking brown was positive (I am an electrician) when we tried to jump it. . The car had been driven in and out of the garage most days and my friend had given it a decent run in t...

EURO GRILLE
I keep seeing a lot of e30's with an extra lip to the top of the grille at either side of the kidneys. I understand these are known as euro grille's.

It has full height adjustment motion and is level with the passenger seat (which I also touch the roof in) However my friend is 6ft2 he sits in the car with half an inch clearance, I must have a really long body and or big head. Re: Head touching roof of E30 tourer...... please help?
I will double check again but it seems odd that both passenger and drivers seat is the same.
The drivers seat is a spare from an old E30 i took apart.is there something i can do to set it to a minimum before i put it on, then when i put it on lower it further with the leaver?

I have a saloon that does not have a sunroof and i have no problems in this.
I understand the roof is slightly lower for the sunroof but there must be some way around this?
