yup i will check with that ... i believe it may be the diff...calder wrote:i'm not sure i follow the problem you describe with the 2000rpm; but if you're getting a clonk from the rear on changing up a gear check the diff mounting bolts to the sub-frame these can become loose and cause a clonk on upshift.

After installing the manual tranny i discover that if i do not drag every gear to a rev of 2000 ... i would get a clonk sound from the trans ... coming from the rear side. Some of my ...

m-dtech, my car is jetronic, so I can't really go far with this. But someone told me that there was a jetronic 2.7 ETA engine that could be fitted in my car by using the bottom with my head and get 19X plus horse.m-dtech wrote:the 525e is motronic so i dont know why you would want to use jettronic ?

What's the normal mileage for the 320i auto a...

That's the more straight forward route to take... use the Eta bottom end and retain your 320 head, etc. To use the 'cheap and easy' route, use your existing head, but bolt on the 325i inlet system, and re-chip the ECU. Job done. 190bhp and little work involved really. Geeman, you meaning changing t...

A friend of mine suggested buying a 2.7 ETA engine (the non motronic one, i don't know if there was one). Then he asked me to retain my b20 top but using the ETA's lower portion. He said i'll make much more power than the b25 but retain the jetronic that i have in my car ... haha but fuel eff. will ...

Only one of three things is worth doing to the M20B20 engine in an E30. 1/ Leave it alone and enjoy it as it is. 2/ Attach the head to a 525eta, 2.7 litre bottom end. 3/ Swap it for a M20B25. Anything else is just messing about for very little improvement. what are the power benefits of 2? And you ...
