Identify this Diff
I removed this diff from a South African 325i Auto Saloon. The only numbers I can make out clearly are 1210 411 - part number but I can't find it on RealOEM. I can also make out 5638 or 5G38
Any body help please?

Re: OBC Backlight
Sounds like the pins on the light strip may be dodgy or something because I'm getting a circuit on it with about 15ohms resistance which is about right be a couple of bulbs.
Will be back for help if I can't solve it.
Thanks

OBC Backlight
The backlight for the OBC LCD display doesn't light up. I've checked the continuity of the bulb carrier and I still have a circuit - assume bulbs and resistor are ok. I reckon there's a loose connection, since it's been temperamental recently. Anybody know where the power for the LCD backlight comes...

Can't see no washer thing. But the drive shaft has been punched in the middle which I spose will make it a lot more difficult to remove.

Rear Wheel Bearing
I'm trying to change my rear wheel bearing. I haven't got passed taking the hub nut off though. Anybody know what size it is? I think it's 29mm, unfortunately my socket set has 27mm then 32mm with nothing inbetween.

Yep, if you go to the dealer they can normally give a print out of all the options that came with the car when it was manufactured, paint scheme, electrics, wheels etc. Not sure all dealers do it though?

Re: Heating Blowing Hot OR Cold
The electric valve only cuts off the water flow through the heater matrix when the dial is set to full cold. Is this the same for cars with Air Con? That means you would have heating and cooling going on at the same time unless temp gauge was fully cold - which could make sense as the Air con and h...

Heating Blowing Hot OR Cold
I've got a 325i with Air Con, which works however, when I try to adjust the blower air temperature with the Air Con off it just stays cold until the dial is hard over to the right at which point it goes to full heat. There's no inbetween temperature. The bowden cable seems to be ok, I'm wondering if...

Stupid question - where are the bolts for the rear seats - do you get to them from the boot? I've got the long range tank in the boot so I'm not sure if that makes them harder to get to?

Rear Shelf and Rear Windscreen Heating
With the switch on I've got 12V between the terminal and all the elements on the screen have a reasonable resistance it's just the connections that look dirty. Bought a good second hand exhaust system from SPADGE. Helped me get the thing apart to fit in my car and provided a few rags to protect my car which I forgot myself. No haggling over the price agreed before I travelled 140miles to pick it up.

I disagree, 6 cylinder engines including 320 and 325 have twin system as far as I've seen - pretty sure!
If you want people to hear you coming Scorpion is great and it's got a nice burble at low revs, otherwise stick with something slightly more standard to be a bit more discrete

Re: 320i/325i exhaust's are they the same
I believe you might be able to fit them together although I wouldn't recommend it. Although the pipes under the car look very similar in size they are actually a slightly different diameter. I've got a 320 system on my 325i Touring from the manifold back. It works ok but my fuel consumption has gone...

I agree with Matt. When I removed the OBC from my saloon I just shorted the 2 pin connection with a piece of wire and the card started fine.
Hope it works
