So this was a relay in the alarm module. I took out the fuse by the alarm module that covers the faulty side and it works fine now.

Just purchased a new one from Germany - V.expensive mind.

I need to source a new TPS for my 1991 E30 320 AUTO. Its got a round connector so not the square plug one.

Can anyone help with a part number or somewhere i can get a new one please?

It says BMW Part No: 82 11 9 418 407 and has an on/off key.

I think teh key just turns the sounder off.

I disconnected the kick down switch and took the car for a test drive - it still refuses to change up into 2nd gear, revved until about 5000 before I backed off. Is it a simple on/off switch? If so, I can use my multimeter to test it - but where do I access wires.

Hello again Brianmoooore. The right indicator stuck on again yesterday. Could you tell me where the immobiliser module is please? It is switchable yes. Its on E but does the same on S and 123.

Its better when the car is warmer.

Ive got it booked in with an auto gearbox specialist today - i cant change it to a manual as i can't drive a manual car (disability).
