Re:
There must have been a cross over year or something but its impossible to find the exact same alternator than what was previously there. But what i removed looked like an aftermarket alternator, it wash't Bosch or Valeo. But I can't find this exact shape anywhere, so i thought it would be easier to ...

M10 Alternator Replacement
Ive come to replace the alternator on my 316 but it didn't fit in the existing bracket, so i have brought also a new bracket. When it came to removing the bracket I found out that the pulley to the fan is right in the way. As a novice can any one tell me the easiest way around this? Do I have to tak...

Yeah I'm just going to go for popping the glass out and having a little practise myself.steve_k wrote:Also, brian is correct, that's the way I did mine & the way some pro's do it swell.
Be much easier to get a nice finish and wise to keep the edge of the tint behind the seals.

Re: Is Applying Window Tint Myself A Good Idea?
If the windows come out easy enough I might do that and get a roll then. Have a few practise and see if i can get it nice.
My mate has his own little workshop, so i've got help if needed.

Is Applying Window Tint Myself A Good Idea?
I wouldn't mind tinting out my rear windows to my coupe, thing is I've never done this before so there is chance i will mess it up. Ive got a quote of like £130 to tint the rear windows but it will cost me like £50 tops for pre cut tint or cheaper again for just a roll. Is it worth trying to save th...

Re: Original Factory Fitted Headunit
Lucky I put it aside on a shelf and didn't bin it then!
I think I'm just going to have to do a bit of research and I have a mate who's pretty screwed on with car electrics and stuff, so were just going to have to spend some time looking at.
cheers

My First E30
I say my first. It's really my third. But this is my first one which I'm actually happy with and excited to just look after. My first one I brought when I was 18, a black 1986 4 door 320i. It wasn't the best of condition but I got it for cheap and it was right on my doorstep, so I drove that around ...

Original Factory Fitted Headunit
I recently removed my original head unit because it was about 100 years old with a cassette tape player, but in behind was what I'm assuming the factory 20 year old wiring. All the wires going into the back of the head unit were brown with individual pins. Does anyone know the specific adapter I wil...

Fitting a wide m3 body kit to '87 316
I recently brought a nice 2 door white 1987 316. Body work is all in perfect condition but i want to replace all panels (rear, front panels, sills, bumpers + spoiler) with the wide body kit to create a real baby m3. Thing is, I'm really not sure on the first thing about fitting a body kit. I was hop...
