Re: Chips!

I would recommend a mild chip you will get 3 to 7 BHP,this may not sound much however you will fell the difference when driving.

It also improves your mpg if you drive sensibly and the plus side its not going to cost a bomb there are coulpe of Zoners who sells them.

Re: Yet another water leak. HELP!

Remove the brackets of the glove box and see if you can see any rust on the bulk head. As Kabeer mentioned block elephant trunk leads to this problem I had nice rust hole which I patch up with aluminum mesh and heavy duty sealant which get rock hard. This fix has lasted 8 years now On the 325 I had ...

Re: Changing 2 pc Exhaust System

So if the back box is 3 piece then I can set up the whole system as a three piece.

I try to check the cat back on the evolve site but can't find it, or it could be blocked as I am at work and they have blocked all the pictures on the zone.

Can you let me know what the link is.

Thanks

Re: what would you do

this is my route which i am working on

Use a mild chip which will help with the power and improve mpg in town.

Change the exhaust manifold which will give a bit more power

Use a lower diff I am aiming for 3.45 as i use the motorway this will result higher speed at lower revs.

Re: Changing 2 pc Exhaust System

am i right in thinking scorpion rear boxes are 3 piece anyway? with an adapter to fit them to the front piece from a 2 piece system?

Thats a relieve Gibson :D

So there is hope afterall as GFS has the center at a decent price I can then set it up as a 3 pcs

and get the manifold at a later date.

I had order my mild chip Thursday evening and got it on Saturday, It also came with instructions as how to fit which was good. There is a big difference between the standard and this chip, such a difference that my 10year old daughter comment was how smoother the car felt, and she is right. Remember...

Re: low ratio diff

Hi bodger,
I am looking to do the same, at the moment i don't know my ratio as the tag is all rusty

I am interested to know what is your speedo speed, when your rpm is at 3000 in 5th gear

Mine is at 70 mph, (my tyres are 205/55 15")

i would be good to know the same from other zoners as well.

Re: Speedo UnderReading

I have had 3 E30's and they all did the same the speedo is out by 5 mph,I have a Talex GPS Camera Detector ,which shows the correct speed as with the OBC. This is why all speed cameras are set with a approx 10 % leeway as the majority of analogue speedo are not accurate. this means you can do 45 mph...
