LSD Output Shaft Seal Replacement

Hey All It's Been Awhile.

Anyone know how to change the seals for the output shafts on a lsd?

do i need any special tools to refit them and are they an easy job todo??

Chees for that Theo, are the engine mounting positions really different on the e24/e28 block? was gonna make my own mounts to fit once engine is in anyway.

think i might just het the bits i need and wait for a block to come up, got space to keep it so might aswell!!!!

Hi,

i've just checked the part numbers for the e32 and the e34 and they are the same, i used the e34 manifolds with no mods at all, there isn't alot of space but they do fit!

it's 3 inch pipe with a modded e30 rear box split with the baffles out and new ends made for the 3 inch pipe, then filled with the original packing from the e30 box!!

loud but not tooooooo bad!!!

yeah on a e30 mate, i thought the sensor tell the ecu thats there pressure before it start the engine.

maybe, but i don't know.

will a engine start without the oil switch wired in? just been trying to get ric325i new 325 started but as yet haven't changed the switch to the new one(pre facelift car, facelift wiring).

Hey,

i've got apair of hartge sideskirts and i think they are genuine ones,
what material are the proper ones made out of?
there is a load of stamp markings on them but without scrapping all the paint off i can't read it.

what are thease worth if they are the real deal???

sweet lad see you there, what you driving? mines a black 320i but its got a m30 3.5 motor in it!!

a tip for you lad, go to machine mart/b&q a get some fexi plastic water pipe, put some holes in the side and tape up the ends. then get some expanding foam from b&q and fill the pipe, instant mould for you to copy off. just make sure you use plenty of bracing to keep the pipe in the right position w...

i've just been looking at my wiring, the black/green wire, what does it do exactly and if it's not connected what happens to the motor??

both the bk/y and bl/gr where on the same post, just removed the bl/gr and the ring terminal has come off. any ideas?

Starter motor wiring.

what wires should be goin to the starter motor on my m30 engine? i've got one that goes direct the the battery, one into the loom then there's two wires goin onto the small threded stud, should i have one or two here?? haynes manual wiring diagram shows there should just be three wires in total goin...

it explains the differences between 1/1.5 and 2 way lsd. standard lsd's are just 1way as they lock on acceleration only.

Hi yeah you can get them rebuilt with two plates in them instead of one, a mate of mine can do the full rebuild which includes machining to take the second plate and putting it back yogether for around £200/£300. he builds e30/e36 m3 race cars for a living and used to work for bmw. if any1 wants...
