Re: What's it worth?

I've read all about your bargain simian and must admit I'm impressed! Unfortunately I don't have any MoT's bar the last couple so no proven record sadly. Always ticks me off when people don't keep receipts and I wouldn't normally buy without it, but the condition of the car certainly bears out the m...

What's it worth?

Right. Probably selling my 1994 316i SE Touring. The cambelt is just being done along with replacing the valves etc and the head's being skimmed, all due to the cambelt having snapped. This is costing me about £450 to have sorted. It's showing 54,000miles, it's got 6 months MoT on it and 5 months ...

I've not tried taking it out or anything but it says BMW on the front. It's the OE compact cassette player the car came from the factory with!

Radio unlocking codes

I know a replacement cd radio is only £100 but does anyone know how to find the code for the standard radio? I don't have the handbook which might have had it in. Is there a website or something or will a main dealer be able to do it (at huge cost no doubt)? The car's a 1994 316i Touring btw. Many...

Re: amazing E30 2door touring, only 6made

I love that silver one with the kit on it.

Personally speaking I think that's an extremely cool car and probably one of the best looking E30's I've seen.
Look like the Breadvan could have looked if it had been made years earlier...

Dips, you're a lucky man!

Re: Lowering springs for 318is

Certainly not telling you what to do fella but I once fitted some quality Eibach springs (30mm) to my old 16v Golf but kept the standard dampers. It drove horribly after that. Really wallowy and unsettled. Not saying it doesn't work as I don't have much experience but judging by that I'd never do on...

Re:

For what it's worth I used to have Toyo Proxes T1-S's on my Golf G60 and I rated them highly. They were brilliant in the wet and dry and wore well. I had Vredestein Sport Contact 2's on my Saab T16S which were also very good but I had trouble tracking them down and it still seems to be the case. I g...

Re: lower lip spoiler

Hi Chris Well, having popped out to pay for it I thought I'd check the clips while I was there. It's actually the clips which hold the cover in place just behind the rear seats and screw to the top of the inner arch. They are light grey so I'll take the pair. It's only the offside which is knackered...

Re: lower lip spoiler

Didn't realise you could get them so cheaply from ECP! To be honest, given the postal weight once I've reinforced and packaged it you're probably better off trying a new one from ECP. Do you need both clips for the load cover? I think I have a light grey pair.. Cheers, Chris If I've read the webist...

Re: lower lip spoiler

You can still get them from BMW, but they are a little pricey. Funnily enough though, I'd be happy to sell you a used one if you like? :) Cheers Chris. I notice that ECP have them for about £20. Do you know why E30's often seem to have them missing? Do the clips break easily or something? It's no...

Sadly not. Decided to opt for the boggo (but mint) 316iSE Touring so while oversteer city might be off the map, at least the spoiler's are cheap!

lower lip spoiler

Hi

Does anyone know whether the lower lip spoiler for a late E30 front bumper is available and if so where from?

The car I've just bought seems to be missing it and I want it back!

It's the black bit under the body-coloured area...

Last E30 registration date

What's the latest registration date for an E30 on the forum?

I was surprised to find the Touring I've just bought was registered on 28th January 1994!!!

Any later out there?

Nick

Re: ADVICE needed - please give your opinion!

Latest news: It's actually her son selling it but I've managed to beat them to £1300 with them getting it serviced, the central locking fixed and having the brake pads replaced prior to it coming into my ownership. I'm pretty happy with that as aside from the bumper and snapped parcel shelf retain...

Re: ADVICE needed - please give your opinion!

Update: I drove the Touring this morning. It drives like new although I did notice it has a cracked front bumper (in red, anyone got one with the lower spoiler still attached?!) and the tyres look like they could do with replacing all round as they've obviously been on the car for aons. Mindful of t...

Re: ADVICE needed - please give your opinion!

Cheers people. Good to hear that they aren't quite as gutless as one might imagine. I fully appreciate that an iS is a totally different beast but the miles of the Touring are appealing as any iS is going to have done double that and be no cheaper. The reality is (sadly) that living and working in B...

Also, what sort of mpg could one expect out of it? Kinda need a ...

We selected the M3 for its performance, the fact it's well known to the masses and because it's an iconic car.
