m8 u gotta let it idle for about 10 to 20 mins for the ecu to relearn the base idle settings .thrashing it wont do nothing exept use yor juice try it ?

not sure on the ratio but to get a good test result u need to test it a normal operating temp.i tested mine cold and thought the engine was dead on a few but it fired up first time with no trouble.

whats the best way to seperate them without damage to either?

hi i think they`re the same but the 1 with 2.5/2.7 is from a 5 series as is mine cos it`s also used in the 525 eta engine but all 2.5 m20`s are the same unless allready moded
