Re: Restoring Mechanical Parts - OEM Colours
Check the famous M3 bubble car for pics for what an E30 looks when it was delivery millage , or near zero miles http://www.bimmers.com/albums/bubble-car/ Underside seems to vary a little. I've seen some near total body colour, but then seen others where large parts are unpainted beige underseal . Fu...

Re: E30 M3 number 2.....
Your body shop does nice work, looks like its in good hands. What was up with the front panel to remove and replace ? Lots of scabs and surface rust inside the box sections so it made sense to make a nicer repair by replacing it. How's the underside look , any areas of failed underseal to remove or...

One of my fave Ari moments is this from the 1983 Manx rally in an Opel Manta. Watch the whole thing, but at 2m10 sec in he clips a wall that sends the Manta sideways in the wet, just as a narrow stone wall cattle grid is 100 yards down the road. The reaction of his co-driver being scared shitless is...

I can see even the part for one of the fuel tank access covers under the back seat. There is a large oval shaped one and a smaller round one, I'm looking for the part number for the gasket for the smaller round cover.
Thanks

That's a different style pump and chassis, the wiring plug on top is also different . Click the link in my original post to the ECS site and you can see the difference. I guess it might be easier to rewire, but kinda bugs me to convert it.

Can't see just the pump, only the whole thing in the above link and in the ETK.
The pump body is plastic with a molded bracket in it to mount to the frame. Generic pumps don't have this.

The in-tank fuel pump replacement.
Is there a simple replacement pump for this style in-tank pump ?
The factory part as a plastic mount, so not easily replaced.

The zinc part works fine, I think its more a case of me failing to get the yellow passivate stage right. Things like the rear dampers and booster were painted with a 2 pack paint from a custom spray can. It was all flatted back to around 800 grit , primed and then a light mist coat of colour, followed by 2-3 coats of paint. Using a proper de-grease is a must for any paint work. The rear damper sprayed ...

Re: PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION NEEDED
When you say ' restoration' , what exactly do you mean ? People getting a repaint done use this word, but then so do people doing nut and bolt rebuilds. To totally farm out a restoration in the true sense of the word is a LOT of money, tens of thousands and a loss on 325s I would think.
