Hi Dan, yes I did the original conversion 5 ish years ago had your loom and ews delete.
Annoyingly my water pump failed on a track day and killed the engine. I have another and have bought cooler thermostat aluminium housing plus a bigger radiator. So I think I will stick to the m52.

Basically I cooked my m52 originally and the car has sat since. I have another m52 to go in wish mishimoto coolant stuff.
I was hoping the m54 would handle some future low pressure boost better than the m52

So which is better? I have had a m52 swapped e30 and enjoyed it but the m54 seems to be more powerful and maybe more reliable?

So I’m fancying an m54 swap in my E30.

It currently has a m52 in. I was wondering if the swap is much more involved than this would be.

Ideally I would like to use my current drive train.

Hi all, I'm looking for information on supercharging my m52.
I know they don't take boost that we'll but I would like to give it a go.
Basically I want to know what charger is best and where to mount e.t.c

I have an m52 e30. I am currently having warm start issues just turns over and stutters a bit but can take ages to finally start.
Starts forst time from cold tho.

Any ideas

Thats the one, its loud quite raspy, but i havent driven the car much and last time was in november so its been a while

. I have mine on a m52. for the money nothing really comes close.

I have one, the fit isnt perfect, but I got mine to fit pretty well in the end.
the bore is larger than scorpion etc.

Ive been reading about putting the more aggresive s50 cams in my m52 e30.
but the bit im not shure about is sorting the vanos out. Keeping it in place etc.
do i need a specific tool?

i had some made at my local machine shop. could email you a diagram if you want?

Fuel pump didnt seem to run when i bridged the solanoid either.
No the engine hasn't cranked off the key at all.
the e30 was an auto if that makes any difference.

So first problem when i turn the key the ignition comes on but the engine wont turn over. however if i pridge the solanoid it does.

next problem my fuel pump dosent seem to be runing, checked fuse and wiring seems ok, but im unshure where the relay for it is?

any ideas would be great

Nope the ones on the block. That the box mounts too. Will get some pics up

Whe removing my gearbox from the m52 the two mounting points either side one broke in half and the other i snapped the bolt in under very low pressure. I covered them in wd40 prior to removal. Any ideas
