Re: M20B25 swap not starting
It lives !! Had a good read around night before and went back with a fresh head and ideas .. First thing I come across while on the net was C191 plug .. didn't recall plugging or seeing that .. Found it was the loom for the injectors. Had a look and it wasn't plugged in :o: , completely for...

Re: M20B25 swap not starting
Ill have a read through wiki mate, knowledge is good :) Hoping it something as simple as been flooded, just after a long tiring day, putting engine in and plumbing it in amongst other issues, I don't tend to think straight/logically at end of day  Will have another crack at it after work and t...

Re: M20B25 swap not starting
After trail and error, I've got fuel pipes in that configuration. Thanks for confirmation on that.
Any other things to check ?
Would the c101 plugs match or do I need swap any wires ?
Is it possible have fuel and spark and no fire?

M20B25 swap not starting
Hi all, got a slight issue with a engine swap. Put m20b25 lump out of a H reg into a G reg 1.6 . Car turns over fine, fuel is flowing, there is spark. But no fire. Not even a splutter :? Thought this is all that was required to fire ? Have had engine in bits while was out, mainly cleaning it, timing...

Re: Fuel pipes .. puzzled
Found a little problem today, the "fuel damper" ( think that's correct name ) which comes just after the fuel pump underneath had three pin holes due to rust and was losing quite abit of fuel at this point. Have removed this and just connected fuel pipe up. Have got a booster pack on too, car splutt...

Re: Fuel pipes .. puzzled
Ok that explains the vacant pin 15. Does it seem like I've got starter from a facelift on mine. Had another set of eyes to give it a look over. Don't ask, ( was having a brain fart day ) but I do have spark  Should have mentioned this earlier I guess if it helps... Engine while removed ...

Re: Fuel pipes .. puzzled
Plot thickens  Had another look at starter today after removing it noticed that I had the smaller/thinner wire on the wrong lug on starter :o: Didn't notice the lug on bottom as couldn't see it. So now car turns over, fuel looks fine, just doesn't seem to be a spark? Is there some wiring issue...

Re: Fuel pipes .. puzzled
Everything you mentioned is there. All fuses and relays are in place. When trying to start car from ignition the replays click and that's all. The starter does not turn at all. When shorting the starter out ( screw driver method ) the starter spins. Its like the starter is not engaging. Just off the...

Brianmoooore thanks for the help
Got it sussed and found the wiring already there too ( wasn't looking hard enough )

Re: Rear axle swap
I'll get new handbrake cable ordered tomorrow. The disc setup has flexible pipe from arm to caliper in place. ProbAbly replace these too for peace of mind. Not looked at it in while so seeing it will make more sense I guess. Just didn't want to tackle it and find I'm short of a pipe or something hal...

Re: Fuel pipes .. puzzled
Thanks for the info Brian... Just to clear it up, having a slow day sorry, I'm going to remove the second pipe along with the fuel pump from doner car and is it just a simple matter of putting pipe in and fuel pump and just plumb it together ? The shell tank doesn't have cup in the tank either. Thanks

Fuel pipes .. puzzled
Hey all .. Got hold of a very clean coupe shell its an E reg. I believe it was 1.6 originally ( I got shell without engine ). Looking at dropping M20B25 into it. Just looking round noticed there is only on fuel pipe coming from rear of car to the engine bay :? Would this be because it was originally...
