Re: Waving at e30 drivers
I saw a nice looking girl driving an E30 on the back roads of Chichester the other day, didn't wave tho....was too surprised to see a girl driving one I guess! I also see a tidy blue convertible going through Emsworth sometimes and recently tried to warn him about a speed camera he was heading towar...

Re: New biofuel rules...will it affect our cars?
I doubt we'll be seeing a difference in price. Only upwards I should imagine! I think that fuel has to have a certain percent of renewable content anyway, but now the 'EU' are changing the rules to up the percentage, but, once again, classic car owners are going to suffer because of the corr...

New biofuel rules...will it affect our cars?
Afternoon all, Anyone else on here read about the new bio fuel rules coming in next year? http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=24901 Ive just read this list on PH which states that our cars should be ok with it, but I wondered is anyone else knew more detail on the subject? I remember...

Re: Steering noise/whine?
Wow....3 seconds? I thought E30's were built better than that! To be honest i dont usually use full lock very much, and its literally only just started doing it. I first noticed it pulling out of the junction at the end of my road, i thought it was the diff but then i noticed a very slight feeling t...

Steering noise/whine?
Hi all,
Ive notice a low whining noise when turning my steering from lock to lock at low speeds, its slowly got louder over the last couple of days.
Steering doesn't seem to be affected though, any ideas?
Cheers!

Anyone know what these oil seals do and where i can get one?
Ive got a slight leak on the top half of my m20, straightaway i replaced the rocker cover gasket thinking it was that but there its still losing oil. I thought then that the only other obvious place would be the camshaft seal but then i saw these little buggers. Anyonw know what they are, what they ...

Re: ECU COMPAITIBILITY
The only thing that you can do, which will also make much better running and playablity. Ditch the 1.1 and swap to 1.3 motronic off a later model. It's not the easiest job but it is well worth doing. I also have the 073 model ecu. Not wanting to hijack the thread....but whats involved in the swap, ...

Re: 316 stutter
If its the M10 engined model (or i guess even the M40), check the fuel relay on the passenger inner wing.
My 316 (M10) did this and eventually wouldn't start at all, it turned out to be the relay which only costs a couple of quid!

Two Tech-2's, a red Touring and a dark green chromie cab....
This weekend has been pretty busy for me on the e30 spotting front! It started when i drove up to East Grinstead Saturday afternoon, i took the A3 through Hindhead and saw a nice clean standard dark grey tech-2, then a bit further down the road saw another one going the same way that was pretty much...

You should get one without a sunroof.. On a more serious note, is it that much of a problem? Its not an mot failure and so long as its not causing it to leak i dont really see the problem, at the end of the day we are dealing with cars that are usually well over twenty years old, so a little ...

I would think that thats been pretty well stripped to bits restored and put back together, thats not a simple afternoons work with a rag and a bottle of cheap polish!
It does look fantastic though, full respect to whoever owns it!
