E30 Zone

I did some tests years ago on this and sprayed samples that I was able to bend right over in a U shape without cracking. Cannot therefore agree with the last post. Do agree that its not the best material for spraying but it can be done.

Can they powder coat if you are only doing the centre part of the wheel. Not sure that I would agree that its a longer lasting job than a good 2k paint finish. The mechanical fuel pump on my m10 carb model seems to be playing up a bit. Thought about fitting a universal electric pump instead. I imagine it an easy change over. I may be fitting some twin 40 soon also so would need to suit them as well. Good idea or bad. Any info appreciated

I found it at a breakers yard about 15 years ago. Someone had bought it but didn't get around to doing anything with it. Not sure why it went to a breaker but 15 years ago they were not such a prized item I guess.

Bought a new one from Euro car parts yesterday. cost me £62. I cant see you getting a recore much cheaper. Good second hand could hard to find and for £62 is it really worth the grief.
