Re: painting rubber heckspoiler
I did some tests years ago on this and sprayed samples that I was able to bend right over in a U shape without cracking. Cannot therefore agree with the last post. Do agree that its not the best material for spraying but it can be done.

Re: painting rubber heckspoiler
You will need to use plastic primer. You will also need to add flexible additive to the paint. Only 2k system is suitable. if you need to prime you will also have to add the flexible additive to the primer but to be honest if the spoiler needs primer you would be best not to spray as there will be t...

Re: painting 15 inch bmw bbs nogaro silver
Can they powder coat if you are only doing the centre part of the wheel. Not sure that I would agree that its a longer lasting job than a good 2k paint finish. If the finish is gloss my opinion for long lasting shine would be the paint if done right. The spray can can be got in 2k but will be a lot ...

Fuel pump
The mechanical fuel pump on my m10 carb model seems to be playing up a bit. Thought about fitting a universal electric pump instead. I imagine it an easy change over. I may be fitting some twin 40 soon also so would need to suit them as well. Good idea or bad. Any info appreciated

I found it at a breakers yard about 15 years ago. Someone had bought it but didn't get around to doing anything with it. Not sure why it went to a breaker but 15 years ago they were not such a prized item I guess.

Bought a new one from Euro car parts yesterday. cost me £62. I cant see you getting a recore much cheaper. Good second hand could hard to find and for £62 is it really worth the grief.

If you do want to try a spray repair yourself the first thing you must do to get a colour match is bring the panel to the correct colour. Compound and buff being the best way but you can use cloth and effort. Most colours are now sold in the basecoat form and need laquer applied on top, however the ...

Would disagree with the info regarding the thrust bearing on the clutch. They tend to be quiet when under pressure ( clutch pressed)

Some of you enthusiasts are going to hate me for various reasons. Firstly, I have a brand new 2 door shell that I bought around 20 years ago along with a wide body kit. At the same time I also bought a 316 donor car (1800 carb model) seemed like a good idea at the time. Over the next few years I fit...
