Re: M52 misfire after first minute of driving

I actually checked the spark plug wells yesterday - and found water in two of them! I've ordered a new set and will hope they fix the problem

Re: M52 misfire after first minute of driving

I bought the engine with the brown temp sensor already installed. And I think I plugged them both in right. From memory it's the single pin one. Does this look right to you?

Any other ideas? Cheers

M52 misfire after first minute of driving

I've finally got my M52 up and running. For the first minute or so, the engine pulled incredibly smoothly and there was plenty of power. After this, it felt like there was a judder, or misfire meaning acceleration became that of my old M42! I've driven it several times since, and it always seems to ...

Put an M50 manifold on today, so took a look at the bullet again whilst everything was off. I shaved it down to around 15mm and now the bite point is about where it used to be.

Re: Clio brake servo problems.

I think your servo might be faulty. The servo forks should be very hard to push if you try by hand. I don't know about you, but I don't have any adjustment rod on the glovebox side of my clio servo! I've got another problem with mine. The brake bite point is right at the top of the pedal ”“ I'm gues...

Damn. Just dropped my M52 with Getrag 240 and M20 facelift clutch/flywheel in and didn't do anything about the throwout bearing.

Will the car be underivable without the correct E21 323i bearing? or just not quite right?

Sounds like i'll have to remove the gearbox though, ultimately.

M52 throttle cable

I finally got my M52 running today ”“ very excited to finally hear that straight six roar.

I bought an M50 E34 throttle cable, expecting it to fit my M52 throttle body ”“ sadly it doesn't.

Any idea which one I should be using? Will a standard E36 M52 throttle cable do?

Thanks!

My bits have arrived now.

I've not compared the drive shaft, but the m20 gear selector is a bit shorter.

I think the engine (therefore gearbox as well) sit a little further back in the car.

Speedo sensor wire

Hi,

I popped in over the weekend and asked about speedo sensor wires (in a white e30).

Can you please order in,
61131378417 x 1 (plastic housing)
61130007445 x 2 (two loop wires with connector on the end)

I can pop back on Friday or Saturday depending when the parts arrive.

Thanks!

Ok. So a radiator should be fully hot all over after a decent drive? - It shouldn't feel noticeably colder in any area?
