If you take the casing off around the fans and they are running freely i would consider cleaning or replacing the resistor pack”¦.

I meant the unit which has one dark coloured and one light coloured fan on either side. only one was going around. But thats great thanks”¦ Mines a pre-facelift model so would i be looking in the same area. As alway thanks for you help.

Update - i realise the blowers do actually fit out, so they just lift out in to the engine bay and i think the resistor is just underneath the blowers and can be replaced easily. Feedback on if anyone agrees it sounds like the blowers and resister, due only getting a live when heater on setting 4 on...

Hi, right so found the connections.. Linked fans directly to battery, one of the fans whirred around briefly but only for a couple of seconds, now nothing. Fuse okay, have checked for a live from the wires and only get a live when the fan is switched to 4.... Nothing on 1,2 or 3?? And when on 4 fans...

Heater not working, nothing from blowers etc - please help!

Hi all. I turn my heaters on, hot or cold and get nothing at all.. Completely dead. I have changed the fuse and the relay works fine for the other units it supports.. But literally get nothing if I turn the fans on.. I would test to see if live is going to the unit but not sure what wires I'm lookin...

Hi Andy, I have recently gone through the same thing... I have bought other cabby wings.. Bloody expensive!! And still they are all somewhat corroded and can't help but think they will only last so long... My opinion is as follows... Worked great for me... I bought some new front wings for a 2 door,...

No heating and coolant light?

Hi all. I have the coolant warning light on the overhead panel which is constantly on.. My heating also does work... Nothing at all when I turn heaters on.. Is it linked? If so any suggestions? I changed radiator etc recently but also wasn't working before .. Any suggestions appreciated.. Thanks

Perfect thank you. I had a duff clock.. A small think wire layer had broken off the solder inside. Just re soldered on and working perfectly. Thanks again for you help. :)

Yes 21 replaced and boot light was working too.... May well be the clock... Unless anyone can tell me what the four props are for... I noticed a lab,e on one of the wires supplied to the light had been labeled so someone has had a fix on it before... Thanks

Hi, my clock in the front isn't working... The backlight works okay and out of the four prongs out of the unit one is live... Aftermarket... Have changed them with OEM.. Same order and running sweet!! Thanks... Must have been an old or faulty or loose lead... ?! Thanks for help

Hi, I have just gone through this and to be honest, for under 50 quid you could have the whole lot powder coated.. There is a relatively common match which is the exact shaddowline colour.. This way they would be properly prepped and baked and they set hard so there will never be any paint removal, ...

Changing headlights

Hi all, I have a 1987 pre facelift cabby with the early bullseye headlights.. Can replace them to new lights without spending a fortune on OEM and wondered if I could use an aftermarket replacement for the later models? The loom on my lights have a three and two pin set up and the think the new ones...
