It's not hard to do it yourself, the labour charge for getting a specialist to do the job would be thousands. Just to give an idea of parts prices of a diy conversion: -my 540i 6 speed donor car was £1100 -£800 on suspension and brakes -£50 on 2 flanges and y peices to help make my exhaust manifolds...
