Yes yes spot on Bonnet = hood & boot = trunk
That is SOOOOO much better than that foam crap. It looks more like what on the E36/46 models
I kinda like the PB valance on your car I must say, although I am a PB kinda guy

Re: My e30 Build, from California!
Wow nice car your have there.
Sorry if I missed it but did you fit the 'plastic bumper' valance to a chromie?
Those bumpers GOT to go hey.
Also, your bonnet insulation, is that a stock BMW item as ours in South Africa is a 3 piece foam item.

Alex I feel your pain. We drove a Mk1 Golf 1.4i rental car (only sold in SA) & my foot was flat the whole time. Then we bought a Nissan Sentra 200 STI with the SR20 motor as standard & it didnt feel much more powerful than the Golf. We drove it down to Cape Town & I kid you not, as we got closer to ...

Re:
Johannesburg is notorious for E30's being hijacked or stolen out of parking lots. Cape Town where I'm from is not as risky to own an E30, but I still dont go to a shopping centre with mine anymore. @Alex, a decent E30 goes for the same price as an equivalent E36 or E46 Beemer. I would suggest not ow...

Those are called Rezax 2's right? Always loved that wheel.
I have a set of Rezax 1's currently, tho not fitted to my car
I guess if you have enough power then 35kg's extra is nothing

Btw, when rewiring & while the seats were out, did you scratch at all with improved sound deadening?

Re: Restoring rear spoiler
Hey guys, sorry to be dragging up old stuff but my Mtech spoiler is also a bit dry & I would like to treat it before it gets to a point where it cracks. Is linseed oil the generally accepted method of restoration? I read somewhere that to treat your dashboard so it does not crack, you can use olive ...

I too have a calypso red 2 door. Didnt like it at 1st but it grew on me & when the sunshine hits it...there not many colours that could top it.
But I think that rear end needs some finishing off...she looks a lil naked
