Re: 5 Lug Caster issues

I got the SRS bits fitted and it make a massive difference. I also noticed my suspension top mounts where in the wrong way round lol which then centered the wheel even more and fixed my positive camber issues and wheel spacing. At some point I will fit the standard offset bushing on one side so I ca...

5 Lug Caster issues

Hi, I've done the 5 lug swap and I've noticed my front wheels aren't central in the arch, they're closer to the rear of the car. See Pic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2evt26kxenzivd7/badcastor.jpg Parts used: E36 M3 Knuckles/Spindles E36 96 M3 LCA's ---- 'Allegedly' Powerflex Offset LCA bushings E36 Co...

Rear light wiring

Hi I’m looking for some info on how the rear light wiring connects to the light housing. I’ve had mine disassembled for so long I can’t remember how it all goes back together. I’ve also completely ditched the original loom on the car so I’m in the process of making up a custom one. From what I can r...

Re: HID Aftermarket installation regulations and your MOT.

IMO HID kits are old hat now. LED headlight bulbs have come a long way and are cheaper, brighter and more compact. They can also be used as main beam bulbs because they will switch on and off instantly without the slow warm up time of HID's. This then gives you a nice uniformed look, i hate when the...

Re: Front Valance Fixings

Hi Ben, I actually sat with the parts guy in my local main dealer the other day trying to find the part number and we concluded that the fasteners for the front panel are not listed in any of the E30 drawings. Even the drawing of the front panel is inaccurate as it doesn't show any of the mounting t...

Front Valance

Hi Guys, Can someone point me to the page on real oem that lists the front valance and its fasteners? It appears to be listed in a few places as 'Front panel' but the drawings don't show any of the mounting brackets on the valance or fasteners used. Better still if you know the part number for the h...

I'm going to be limited to what i can get under some 17" wheels anyway, i don't think 18's are realistic in this scenario without tub work. Plus they'll look stupid. Balance shouldn't be too much of an issue as i'm running a pedal box with individual master cylinders and a bias bar. I hear what you'...

On that German forum it says:

Wheel Spacer (per side)

E30 hub ---- 0mm

Z4 hub ----2,5mm

M3 E30 hub ----5mm

E36 323ti Compact hub ----19mm
And i think that is based on using the E30 Trailing arms

Plain brown, with no tracer, are normally earth wires. Plain green, also with no tracer, are normally ignition switched, unfused, 12 volts +. For more info, I'll need to know where they end up. Yea they're all plain with no tracer. They all head towards the little track of wires above the fuel rail...

Ok So the shell has been collected and is off to get welded! In the meantime i've been striping down my m50 lump to clean off all the caked on oil and grime. Because Racecar [Lots of pics :D]

Hi Guys, So last year at around 140mph the bottom end went on my M20 and some lovely rod knock started. I limped home and pulled the oil drain plug and found lots of sparkly bits in the oil, Yay! Here's a pic of the car before i blew it up: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a496/JakeusSnakeus/E30%...

Motronic Pin 27 and Megasquirt

Is there any good reason why you couldn't use Motronic Pin 27 (start input) as the +12v source to power Megasquirt?

Besides the fact the cable looks a little skinny, its probably the most simple method of making the thing turn on and off with the key.
